Big announcement: I’ve joined @expo! 🥳. I still remember how magical it felt using Expo + React Native for the first time at work. Now I get to work on it full time! 😍. My current focus will be on bringing more CSS styles to React Native, starting with background styling this.

PR - It adds a SwiftUI view wrapper in RN!.
Got blur, grayscale and other SwiftUI supported filters working on iOS (no private APIs). Will do a PR by tomorrow. Needs some cleanup. This took some time. It required wrapping views in a SwiftUI view because apple does not want to make the UIKit supported "CAFilter" API public

Android ✅. Testing now. It currently uses the default background-origin and background-clip. Will add these styles later. Adding more test cases, will do a PR soon.

Hirbod joining Expo is a huge win for the community. Considering myself lucky to have been working with him for a long time and to continue to do so! 😇.
Huge PSA for me. Big shift ahead. Tech with @Expo is moving fast. What once felt solid now begs for change. And then, out of nowhere, it felt like the stars aligned. A spark I didn’t see coming lit the way forward. Standing still stopped making sense. Time to move.
