NHS England has published new principles on the use of digital technologies in mental health inpatient settings. These principles are vague and unenforceable. They don't halt the rollout of tech like Oxevision, and lack regulatory power. Our statement👇 https://t.co/k4RGjzRwEX

This long-overdue publication is vague and disappointing. The principles do not halt the roll-out of unethical, poorly evidenced and potentially unlawful technologies.

If it's one bad egg, it's a bad egg. If it's a few bad eggs, it's a bad box. If it's hundreds of bad boxes over decades, it's an issue with the supplier. We cannot keep blaming the structural issues in children's mental healthcare on bad staff. https://t.co/spkDc3cVhR

They call it ‘personality disorder,’ but what if it’s just the scars of being too much in a world that demands we mask our differences, make invisible our trauma, mute our sensitivity? Healing involves unlearning the character assassination stories imposed upon us.
