HISTORY: Liverpool
Don’t forget, before EU regional development funds helped rebuild our city in the 90’s, this is what we were up against from Thatcher’s government: Managed Decline
Know your history, don’t repeat it.
Enlightenment, below👇
VOTE: Tomorrow
No excuses, get off your fucking arse and go vote.
Get involved.
Get wise.
Get on it.
We’ve got right wingers bouncing round like they own the gaff, police laying it on heavy and liars and thugs in suits playing roulette with the future.
Use your head.
You’ve done nothing for Wavertree; used it as a stepping stone for your career
Your tenure has left an area struggling with employmemt, awash with xenophobic fear, division and vunlnerable adults w/ M.H. issues homeless and without support
That’s the reality
Just stumbled upon John Lennon’s 1964 ‘psychedelic’ Rolls-Royce Mulliner Park Ward Phantom V.
2.5 tonnes
3.6-metre wheelbase
6.2L V8 engine (same as the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II)
Not sure if it’s the original, though. Fella told me it was and he story checks true.
THANKS:
To all the fantastic
#nhs
staff at the Liverpool Royal Hospital for stitching me back together, again.
NO THANKS:
To the shit-house motorist who ran me off my bicycle, from the road.
Fight for our

#GreenLanes
now.
I was lucky, others haven’t been.

These odd behaviours, opinions and mindsets are becoming common. But, for every ‘one fool, there are two wisemen’.
This is the kind of thinking that needs to be brought to attention, in order to educate it.
Respect, for calling it out.
Speak, write, act.

TRAIN:
I’m on that last chance saloon, crazed-out train from Manchester to Liverpool, the one that stops at every provincial mad house in the Lancs.
There’s a fella in a tight pink shirt, dress kecks, and shiny black shoes, with a little gold bar across them.
•
Not into these cats who get down on street people, day-time alchos, crack beggars, spice zombies or smack addicts.
You can’t judge if you don’t know someone’s story.
Something has happened to put them in that position.
Don’t kick when someone is down.
Where’s your ❤️?
I’m on a bus, in the Wirral, coming home from a gig. The 247 or something. It’s like a cross between a community college, community service and a documentary.
Canvassing: Southport.
Today, hit the street with this gang, up in Southport, in support of
@LizSavagelabour
campaign.
Positive.
Conclusion: Looking like a
@UKLabour
take over up there is on the cards.
This movement is on fire - get involved, it’s now or never.
HOMELESS: Voting.
In Liverpool,
@WhitechapelLiv
are, welcoming homeless people with nowhere to register to vote from, to do so using their address.
Inform them they can exercise their right to vote and make their voice count.
Spread the word/RT.
Reckon
@LIMFestival
should move into town, now, so all the local businesses, bars, food establishments, venues etc can have a slice of the action - spread it about.
The concept’s too big for Seffy Park, now, and it fucks with the eco system and the wildlife, too much.
THANKS: Liverpool
Thanks, to all involved at last night’s Tour Finale

Overwhelmed
Apols, to those bought tix, and couldn’t hear due to talking, neither could I
Next time, rude bastards, it’s out the door or through the window - your choice
To be continued
HISTORY: Injustice
On the 18th June 1984, 35 years ago, at a coking plant outside Orgreave village, near Rotheram, this happened.
No police or politicians have ever been held accountable.
Do your homework.

The magnificent yet sadly forlorn 'Jewel on the Hill' opened on this day 12th Oct 1886. Lets hope all the talk leads to positive action very soon

PASSING:
Michael Chapman.
24/01/1941 – 10/09/2021
I am devastated to share this news.
I am mute and crushed with sadness at the loss of my hero, master muse and friend, Michael Chapman.
My sincere condolences, meditations and thoughts are with his family.
@qualifiedsur
PASSING:
Sad news, this. I didn’t know Tony Mulhearn, I’ve only ever read about him and saw him speaking in town, over the years. But, his contribution to the city’s history is integral and is regarded as a man of principles, by the community.
Bleasdale’s ‘Black Stuff’ screenplay was written around 1976, a ‘play for today’ version filmed in ‘78, was broadcast ‘80, then a short series made to expand the idea and characters, broadcast in ‘82.
In that time, nothing has changed. We a deeper in the shit, more than ever.
COMMUNITY:
It was a pleasure to contribute
@TheFlorrie
Big Guitar-In fundraiser, tonight,
@SGHLpool
.
On many occasions they gave welcomed and supported me, down the years, and I’ve benefited from using their facilities, so it was nice to give something back.

Sad, heartbroken and lost for words of the news that Tony Butler from The Zanzibar Club has passed away.
My prayers, thoughts and meditations are with his family and close friends. I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
The end of an era.
Can't put into words how gutted we all are with the news of Tony Butlers passing. A man who gave so many young musicians a chance whilst always fighting the good fight. Will miss you Tony. Big love. Legends never die. X
What Tom Verlaine was to the late 70’s, Will Sergeant was to the 80’s - everybody imitated his style. The Edge and all those fannys ripped the Serg right off.
Will never gets the credit he deserves for being well ahead of the game.
The sound of silver.

Openly peddling division, and clear support for the far-right, here - crystal clear.
This is adding to the problem, not helping.
Simple solution: hit him where it hurts; in the pocket.
Don’t buy his music, stream it or buy his concert tickets.
Seen an old friend, tonight. Once a beautiful, buring bright soul.
Now, dark, bitter and full of hate because of grief.
So sad.
Harbouring anger will age and kill you faster then life itself.
Only forgiveness will heal your soul.

Respect, to those who participated in today’s protests against the far right in Bootle and Huyton, today.
Below is a reminder of what happens when we don’t - murder.
The fact we have a small minority, here, in support of these dubious politics is disturbing.
Act now.
Have

people forgotten where all this hatred leads to? Anthony Walker was brutally murdered just down the road from where local knobheads are getting selfies with Yaxley-Lennon. Shame on them. Not the Huyton I know.

I don’t know what’s more surreal, the fact that this picture is like an edit spliced from the film reel of my past, or the fact this incidental shot was actually considered and taken.
It captures everything and nothing.
