BOOM! 💥 Today I added WebGPU support for @karpathy's nanochat models, meaning they can run 100% locally in your browser (no server)! The d32 version runs at over 50 tps on my M4 Max 🚀 Pretty wild that you can now deploy AI applications using just a single index.html file 😅
Excited to release new repo: nanochat! (it's among the most unhinged I've written). Unlike my earlier similar repo nanoGPT which only covered pretraining, nanochat is a minimal, from scratch, full-stack training/inference pipeline of a simple ChatGPT clone in a single,

All in all, it was one of the best conferences I've ever been to! Many thanks to @javve and everyone who made it possible. Oh and yes, it was also my first day at @huggingface. More on that in a separate post.

The next day the afterparty started with "Code in the dark". 8 people have 15' to build a website from a screenshot. The catch: they write the html/css but they can never see a preview until the end. The energy in that room was pretty insane 😅

Another highlight was the side activities. On the first evening, you could sign up for “Dinner with 5 new Friends.” You were randomly seated at a table somewhere in Stockholm with 5 other participants. We had a great evening!

My talk went great, despite my nerves about presenting it for the first time😅. I was happy, even though a couple demos didn't go exactly as planned, but that's what can happen with live LLM demos. LLMs, which by definition are non-deterministic😄.

And then there were the talks. Two days, one stage, excellent speakers, and a schedule that worked perfectly. In terms of topics, there was a wonderful mix of UI, compilers, AI, the Web and general industry topics.

The conference and everything surrounding it was unique. So much attention to detail. At the entrance, you were greeted with live music, there was a ball pit, handcrafting tables, sweets, gifts, ... far too much to list everything.

Don't worry. I won't be posting every PR here. But yesterday, my first PR was merged into Transformers.js 🎉🥳. The first of many😊. Its not huge, but it solves a problem I faced myself when setting the temperature to 0 when working with LLMs. https://t.co/XgbTyqt8eM
github.com
added a check that sets generation_config.do_sample to false if temperature=0

Granit 4.0 Micro (3.4B) is here. It runs completely in the browser, is incredilby fast and great for agentic workflows!
IBM just released Granite 4.0, their latest series of small language models! These models excel at agentic workflows (tool calling), document analysis, RAG, and more. 🚀 The "Micro" (3.4B) model can even run 100% locally in your browser on WebGPU, powered by 🤗 Transformers.js!

It connects to HTTP #MCP servers (like my JokeMCP server) and includes built-in servers like one that captures webcam photos and analyzes them with the #SmolVLM multimodal LLM: https://t.co/G5g6r9acSE
