It was an honour to have @NHSChorus19 join us as a part of yesterday's packed concert at @southbankcentre's Royal Festival Hall. Thank-you for being a part of it and for all of the incredible work you've done over the past 18 months.

18 months ago, two @CUH_NHS doctors teamed up with the wonderful @annalapwood to launch @NHSChorus19 - it quickly grew to become a national virtual choir, with 1000s of members, and tonight we got to them alongside @TheBachChoir. They were fabulous! ⭐ #CUHProud #HospitalArts
Pretty special presenting today’s @thebachchoir concert from RFH with @davidhconductor & @philharmonia. So poignant to have members of @NHSChorus19 onstage with us for the Tallis. There was definitely a time when I thought I would never see this many singers on one stage again!

Amazing @TheBachChoir concert at @southbankcentre with @annalapwood and @NHSChorus19 celebrating the work of @CUH_NHS intensive care heroes told through the eyes of a patient. Really moving occasion and a privilege to see professional musicians performing peerlessly.

….the choir had helped to look after me whilst I was recovering in hospital from my second tumour. It’s some years since but I remembered her and we had a chat before the concert. Thank you Anne Marie and thank you to the NHS ❤️💕

So proud of the @NHSChorus19 and how far they’ve come with a year of online rehearsals run by @annalapwood - we performed together for the first time in-person yesterday for thousands of people at @HeritageLiveGCE!! What an amazing day, so emotional ❤️❤️❤️

Yesterday was phenomenal. Conducting the @NHSChorus19 for their first performance & receiving a standing ovation from an audience of over 8000. These singers have dealt with so much over the past 18 months, & I’ve never stood on a stage so charged with emotion. #KeepSpreadingJoy

What started as a little lockdown hobby joining @NHSChorus19 rehearsals online turned into performing on stage with @russellthevoice to thousands of people! Our first ever concert as a choir. I cannot thank @annalapwood enough - you have helped me grow in confidence so much ❤

#AHPsActive was super special yesterday. Walking back stage round the beautiful Audley End with new-found friends with our 'artist' passes 😁 and walking on stage and performing with @NHSChorus19 & @russellthevoice. What an experience! The best weekend 🥰
