The console wars were never something that benefited Nintendo. It quickly turned into obsessing over processing power & pushing for photorealism. Nintendo quietly won by ignoring thar part and doubling down on unique gameplay, art style, and appealing to a broader audience.

@Chris_Dring Wii definitely sold more than the Xbox 360 and PS3. DS outsold them easily too. Switch 1 outsold PS4, Xbox One as well.

@Eldonchorizo_ @Chris_Dring 20 years ago the Wii and DS were doing incredibly well. They lost the lead for a moment in between, but otherwise have been on top for most of the past 20 years
