Graduating in the most unexpected way but looking forward to joining the amazing

The acute medicine team gifted the juniors these pens with our names printed 🥰! Thoughtful surprise and nice way to brighten up the weekend ☺️
@ImperialNHS
Absolutely THRILLED to be allocated to my
#1
choice of foundation school for the FY programme: North West London 🥳. So excited for this next chapter 🧑🏻⚕️☺️ 🏴->🏴
Last day on Ward 205 Neurosurgery as FiY1 😞. Truly grateful for all the support, guidance, encouragement and mentorship over 4/5 years. Really lucky to have such inspiring and supportive mentors! Thank you for the best start to FY I could have asked for! Will miss this place!🧠
Please tell me I’m not the only one who always leaves work e-learning to the very last minute and ends up having to do it in bulk 🤷🏻♀️. This evening’s plans again...
Wrote a little article on external ventricular drains (EVD)! Have a little scroll to learn more about what an EVD is and why they’re used 🧠. Don’t forget to check out the
@realbrainbook
website to read some more blog posts, lots of interesting topics to explore 🤓

Had the best time I’ve had since starting FY1 this weekend on call!
Lots of patient r/v’s, lots of teaching and lots of learning ☺️.
Now off on a week of annual leave (aka catching on work lol). Low key very excited to complete my job list ✅
Got some new medical students on the ward during handover week. Didn’t feel like I had enough time to teach being a new start and learning everything 😞.Remembered the amazing juniors I had teach me so I’ve organised a teaching plan for them for the next couple of weeks ☺️
My aim throughout medical school has been to encourage more females and males to consider neurosurgery as a career. Today I received this lovely email from one of my professors who taught me in year 2/3.
Very keen to get involved in medical student teaching during FY. Does anyone have any experience/ advice on how to go about organising this? Is it best to do it though medical school/ medical societies/ NHS Trust? I’m

So my friends wrote my year book entry & showed me it before sending off. It’s pretty clear that a) I spend 99% of my time in a library and b) I’m addicted to skinny flat whites. A creature of habit it seems LOL 😂😂
Happy

Came across this on here and thought it was a wonderful idea by the ICU dept at York teaching hospital. It’s especially helpful for patients family and friends to get an understanding of what/ why this equipment is being used on their loved ones
It can often be difficult to know what you should be doing throughout

school to make your

So my

in 2020 is to stop being so hard on myself and be kinder to myself. 2019 was one of the best years I’ve had and one of the years where I’ve worked the hardest. Reflecting back these are the 5 things I’m most proud of and will remind myself of these going into 2020
Massive thank you to Mr
@DebayanRD
