Working as a medical writer has shown me that academic research does not contribute to drug development in the real world in the way that academic scientists think it might... and it's all a bit surprising. Pretty happy being a medical writer so far though.🙂

Final paper from my PhD project is out today. It's a comprehensive review of postmortem studies of human astrocytes, and includes theories for how astrocytes are involved in major depressive disorder. I'll make bigger posts about this in the future.
