Neurofly2024 was exciting and fun! After a little break to recover from the exhaustion... we'd now like to thank the fabulous Organising Committee - Scientific and Events Management Team - who worked very hard for 2 years and during the week to make Neurofly2024 happen 👏👏

We're delighted to be attending the Launch of the Centre for Neurogenetics this afternoon.🎉 The launch coincides with the end of #Neurofly2024, which has been held across campus this week.

The first talk of the afternoon comes from Dr Stephane De Brito (School of Psychology), entitled ‘Enhancing NeuroImaging Genetics through Meta-Analysis (ENIGMA)’. 🧠

The second talk comes from Dr Carolina Rezaval, (@crezaval); her fascinating work has found that male fruit flies will become oblivious, or 'blind', to physical danger as they become more engaged in courtship and sex. 🪰

The third and final talk is from Professor Zubair Ahmed: ‘Inhibiting components of the DNA damage pathway promotes functional recovery after CNS injury in Drosophila and rodents’.
