My fellow Southern Baptists, one of our entities has willfully gone rogue by continuing to reject the officially expressed will of the Convention. This is unprecedented. And if it is allowed to stand, it will lead to the fracturing of the SBC.

In the Roman Empire, abortion and infanticide were common practices. Christians were known for their practice of rescuing abandoned infants and adopting them. When Jesus is King, the sanctity of every human life is valued—even the youngest and most vulnerable lives.

I’ve never been more burdened to pray for pastor friends. Being a pastor is the hardest job in the world in the best of times. These are not the best of times. 2020 is wreaking havoc in the lives of many pastors & the churches they're leading. It’s a jungle out there. 1/6

Relationships really do matter in Baptist life. Trust is the currency of Baptist cooperation. The further removed you are from someone, the greater the temptation to assume the worst. We are all in this thing together. We can do more together than we can on our own. (3/3)

I’m thankful for deviled eggs, even though I’m the only person in my family who eats them, and thus I must consume them at other people’s houses, church socials, etc.

Thank God the SBC remains faithful to conservative Baptist orthodoxy. Join me in praying that God will pour out His blessings on the SBC as we cooperate together for the sake of missions, theological education, and Christ-centered cultural engagement—all for His glory. 17/
