The problem with Superman's fortress of solitude is that he needs sunlight to heal and Antarctica famously does not get sunlight for half the year. Really not the best strategically sound location for a recovery fortress.

Our final night on the water was DENSE fog, with practically zero visibility. Then, right as the sun hit the horizon. We got a brief opening and the sky lit up, with faint foggy remnants painting the scene with dreamlike haze.
