There's a special place in hell for people who stand in line at the ice cream shop for an hour but can't be bothered to look up the menu on their phone and decide what flavours they want before getting to the front.

Heard a bit of rustling while I was working in the garage today. Didn't think much untill this little one popped its head out to say hi...

...Oh I did miss the stop sign from the intersection. That does exist here.

A few more thoughts: a "multi use roadway" is first and foremost a road. You don't calm traffic by putting bodies in the way, and the basis of a pedestrian friendly space can't be a road.

The space is a failure. The path in the snow that everyone uses follows where the sidewalk used to be. It's no wonder why. The road is slippery, not cleared or de iced for people to safely use and straight path through is more desirable in a space that is nothing but a corridor.

It feels like all the effective ways to calm traffic have been left out. Things like raised pavement, one way traffic, using bricks or paving stones, street furniture, pedestrian scale lights even a basic stop or yield sign before entering would be an improvement.

For drivers the road is effectively the same width as the street parking here was removed to narrow the road. It doesn't feel any narrower when you drive it. For pedestrians, the sidewalk jogs left onto the road and jogs back right at the intersection.

This is the new "multi-use roadway" at 98th street and 86 ave. The design was sold as a parklet or shared space that would help keep traffic speeds and volumes low. What we have is a narrow road with no sidewalk and a tiny speed limit sign.

So what I read from this is: The reason so many people in Edmonton dislike the Talus Dome is that they are just a bunch of magpies wearing hats and trenchcoats. https://t.co/aprbHpmmcX.

Science dispels the popular myth that magpies like to steal shiny objects for their nests.

It's one of the main reasons many of my friends and I haven't changed to paying a monthly fee, and one of the reasons I usually just go rent for an entire day from enterprise if I need to do a bunch of errands.

Hey @Communauto_YEG I'm glad to see new station vehicles in my neighbourhood. This makes signing up for one of your value plans more attractive, but your pricing is so convoluted I can't figure out if this would be a better deal for me or not.

I even had to delete and rewrite this tweet because It's early and I used the word either mid and at the end of that sentence.

Lol this is cold. @twitter not a bad way to fish for anonymous accounts to delete for spreading misinformation and conspiracy theories either.

A little change to Saskatchewan drive. Still temporary, but feels like one step closer to permanence.

Hey @CityofEdmonton @AndrewKnack @doniveson here's a few places where we could do better to ensure people can remain 6 feet apart. The Bridge on 102 avenue, both bridges on 142 street and scaffolding that narrows the shared use path by kingsway.
