And finally a huge thanks to the young entrepreneurs who had a lemonade stand and were also selling lovely bracelets. I obviously got a blue bracelet and enjoyed some delicious lemonade.

You don’t need to wonder if I will do it because I’ve already been doing it for more than a decade. Engagement is something that happens throughout the term, not just at election time.

That budget exercise needs to include a city-wide engagement process and as your next Mayor, I will be sure to be out across the city engaging on the budget just as I did as a Councillor for the last 12 years.

Basic services, especially snow removal, was the main topic raised today and through the new budget process starting in January, that will allow the next Council to set a new foundation for the budget.

We were so fortunate for the hospitality of all the residents. We were invited in for tea and cookies (yes, hot tea on a hot day is actually a great option).

Heating Up in Laurel.(Door-Knocking Adventures Continue). It may have been one of the hottest days all summer but that didn’t stop us from continuing to hit the doors. This time we were in Laurel Community League. #yeg #yegcc #yegvote

The only challenge with this program? There’s still more demand than resources available. That’s why it’s important to continue to invest in traffic safety as part of our growing city.

Street Labs has been a great program to help address traffic safety issues in a community by installing curb extensions, speed tables, crosswalks, and more.

This work was the next step after previously making a motion in my first term to help expedite crosswalk construction and crosswalk upgrades across the city.
