We beg to differ, this is not factual at all. We are going to use govt. approved agencies to shift the corals and other species and ensure use of Eco concrete to enhance the biodiversity further

Infrastructural development is often time taking. But to begin, should not take as long and should be started today for a better tomorrow. Coastal Road will take over 3 years to be ready to use. 1/3
3/3 Considering that the coastal road is 10 km & the length of interchanges is 13 km, 8429 cr may not be as costly.
Amongst all the perks, having kept environment issues as priority is most priceless to us
There are no fish drying beds along proposed alignment of Mumbai Coastal Road South. The issue of rehabilitation and resettlement of the fishermen community does not arises since project does not entail damage /destruction to the existing fish drying bed 1/2
2/3 Imagine the traffic congestion on South Mumbai by then & then imagine taking just 10 mins to travel from Princess Street flyover to South end of Worli Bandra sea link.
@kedarjoshi82
There will be promenade for sea & sunset viewing . Dedicated bus route lane for public transport & bus depot provision. Public under passes for access. Road is from princess street flyover (Marine Drive) to South end of Worli Bandra sea link. Metros are far away from this road.

We are creating better and safer coast. Every scientific care is being taken to preserve marine ecology with help of CMFRI and NIO. Infact we are expecting better coastal ecology with innovative techniques like eco-concrete and natural rock boulders for sea wall construction.

The project is not anti-ocean. The morphology study for the project is done by National Institute of oceanography(NIO). The NIO will also be doing monitoring for a period of six years. The sea wall will take care of rising sea level and will protect the sea shore. 1/2
2/2 CMFRI is engaged for studying impact on livehood pattern of fishermen community and suitable policy is being formulated. Also, NIO is preparing the Marine Biodiversity Conservation plan.

The sea link as an extension to the current bandra worli was explored earlier and was eventually squashed to Coastal Road and hence we are here. It was called Western Freeway Sea Link

Large number of trees are to be transplanted and very few to be cut. Compared to it thousands of new trees will be planted & cared for. Care is always taken to minimise or avoid tree cutting in simultaneous need of development.
