Would be nice to hear from people who do sell multiple domains per month at the top end of the market -@loganflatt @DomainTheory @TonyNames @JoshDotCo @swethayenugula and more!.

By the way, this is reseller pricing; a university or ed-tech company would pay many multiples today!. One AI student = $25K tuition!. Given who owns Grad .ai, you won't get that at any price!.

People say this industry is full of sharks but here's someone trying to get an expensive asset back to the original owner's kin without any personal interest and this is not the first time either. Bravo!.
Imagine this. In 1996 your grandma hand registered the domain name Delete .com and used it for her website. Today she is in a nursing home without email or phone to pay the $20 renewal fee. The name is now at auction and she will receive $0 for a domain that may eventually

One of the nice guys in the business, well worth a read, good going Dennis!.
This journey started with curiosity and a $36 investment in domains. What began as a side hustle grew into something much bigger than I expected. Grateful to @Entrepreneur for the feature, and truly thankful for everyone who’s supported me along the way. [link in the comments].

Great thread on why a premium domain is vital for businesses, from an expert who has profited significantly from using one.
Your domain creates assumptions before they see anything else. versus triggers different brain responses in three seconds. One suggests category leadership. The other screams trying too hard.

Hand registering a .com domain is simple. Visit a registrar, enter a domain, pay the fee, and it's yours, which is why most new "investors" start. Just buying any domain doesn't make you an investor though, securing a high quality .com domain via hand reg is tough today.
@blueleaf_garden Hand registering .com names is by far the hardest skill in Domaining yet that’s where new investors start.

"The fact is, domains are only worth what someone is willing to pay.". No, there's often a disconnect between a domain's value and price. For value insights, follow @DomainKing. Price is what buyer and seller agree on today. Good post, worth reading.
The Art Of Negotiating A Domain Name Purchase:. (this is from a 15 year old anon comment on a Fred Wilson blog that I saved and have looked back at many times). I see so much bad advice about how to approach someone to buy their domain. "contact them and say I see you're not.

They started at 7.50, went to $13.50 and now it's going to be $20.50. All in 2 years or so. This is why investing in ntlds is risky, super risky.
Imagine trusting .one and then finding out the registry’s idea of loyalty is a 46% price hike. Warren Buffett: “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it.” . RIP .one (2015–2025). Cause of death: 46% greed. #dotone #domains @dotoneregistry

The good thing about SellerHub listings is that they get indexed, but the bad thing is that the indexed page almost never resolves to the sales lander. Think @spaceship should redirect all subdirectories / non main urls to the main lander url.

Bottom line: .com still carries weight, but it’s not make or break. Choose a domain that aligns with your brand, audience, and goals. Success isn’t necessarily tied to TLD. There are unicorns all across the world doing great on other TLDs. #OnlineSuccess.

Is the .com absolutely mandatory for online success today? This Q came up on the DNX show by @joshdotco & @abcproductions. My network was buggy, so here’s my clear take: 🧵👇#DomainNames #OnlineBusiness.
