Four years ago (Dec 24, 2021) we received a Starlink receiver. Massive rain, snow, high winds, and flooding coming our way (California Sierras). This is our only connection to the world, and service has been uninterrupted since Day One. Thank you @Starlink.

For those curious, here's the Burt Reynolds jacket including hand written note from 1980s, and mock blood stains. https://t.co/OPDHgfalGb

Nothing to see here. Here is a methodology that works (for me). *Something* motivates me to pickup a shirt (from a pile of hundreds I recently acquired). The shirt (a worn flannel) has B.R. initials stitched inside. My mind ponders. Who/what could that mean? Google Lens

Another year end shared book list. I've read nearly every book mentioned, added the Rick Rubin book via Audible. "for alignment"
π Here are some books that shaped my 2025: Each one shifted my perspective, some softly, others profoundly. Some I return to again and again, not just for insight, but for alignment.

Has something like this ever happened to you? Carl Jung's acausal connecting principle at work. I'm driving home on a remote mountain road, chatting with my wife along the way. She mentions she saw her mom earlier in the day. Mom said maybe it's time we get a dog, a big dog,

Luck loves curiosity, preparation, action and effort.
Luck is a factor quite often heavily overlooked. Even in cases of extreme effort, many times, luck plays such a large role. The longer you are involved, the more you prepare, while leaning into keeping a curious open mind could greatly increase the math that luck might show up.

Massive storms hitting California this Christmas Eve. I hope Santa uses Tesla FSD that doesn't freeze up during a blackout or heavy snow/rain.

Carl Jung called this acausal connecting principle. A scenario where internal, psychological events are linked to external world events by meaningful coincidences rather than causal chains. I don't hear voices in the physical sense, but there's a vibration that says look into

Do you ever receive messages from "the beyond"? A series of events took place today that lead me to check the inside lining of a jacket pocket (what are the odds?). Earlier I had been chatting about Burt Reynolds. I later downloaded a movie starring Burt Reynolds. The jacket

I think I have a claim to fame here... π€ "a pioneer of the interview-style audio series on the web, years before the technology to name it had even been invented."
I see people on π claiming to have done podcasts before the term was coined. In 1999 I began a series of interviews with business owners that people could stream online. I dedicated a room in my home to this and also had a mobile rig to do interviews at conferences. Sounds

I don't know what happened to Sarah Lacy but someone bought PandoDaily .com at expired auction this week for $6400. Such a great website back in its day.

Not worrying about the future saves energy. πͺ
How much energy do we waste worrying about the future? Studies on human cells exposed to chronic stress hormones show a 60% increase in energy expenditure. In parallel, these cells age about 20% faster than when they are not exposed to stress. https://t.co/LiEvch1keB

Don't know about you but for me 2025 has been an exceptionally good year, in many categories. Health, Family, Relationships, Travel, Discovery. I am excited!

Kids bring dogs over and say "you're staying with grandpa." All the family dogs are "cousins." What about when my dogs go to visit with my kids?
