I retract the "Today is a day full of good news" part after seeing the horrific Twitter layoff news. Yes there was a lot of good news in my life, I don't want to diminish that, but I feel so sickened by the way the layoffs went that I can't call yesterday a day of good news. :(

Hey Twitter employees getting laid off tomorrow! IMPORTANT INFO from a CA employment attorney (me): CA's "WARN" law requires Twitter to give you 60 days notice of a massive layoff. A layoff of 50+ employees within a 30 day period qualifies. I know you didn't get that notice.

Welp, the layoffs are a ridiculous mess today. My sympathies to those out there affected by them. Can't believe how f'd up and disrespectfully they were done.

Today is a day full of good news. I got my invite to the kubernetes-sigs org! I get so excited working on projects with such an amazing group of people. #Kubernetes

I'm pretty happy. Even though I went to #KubeCon and drank copious amounts of beer, not to mention the incredible food, I still managed to lose 2 lbs. That put me over the 80lb mark since late April.

Going to be an incredibly busy week back at work this week. I'm so grateful for a wonderful leadership team who enabled me to spend a week at #KubeCon They and the rest of my team carried a lot to make that happen and I super appreciate it.

I'm home! Sweet dreams of future #KubeCon may dance in my head but for now I'm home again! Time for some relaxation and downtime.

It'd be nice if hotels had a way for you to tip staff on your bill instead of hunting for cash on the morning you're trying to check out.

I love you #KubeCon but at the same time I'm happy to be heading home to my family today. It's been an amazing week but it's time for a nap...
