I planted a fake phone in the "phone jail" at the front of the class, then let an S5 (in on it) ask whose it was, and smash it to pieces. For next period, we planted it under the leg of an S4's chair. They wouldn't fall for that, would they?. Inspired by the master @aap03102

Thanks to everyone who offered to test this. Blown away by the replies and DMs. There's now at least a dozen classes on each N5 and Higher, so I think I need to pause for a bit, while I work out how to scale it!. Watch this space!. @CompSciScot @stacshq.

Made some tweaks to the Higher model based on feedback (particular blindspots people had found, especially some systems questions). Had to remove the demo code on @stacshq. Thanks to folk who have DM'd for a code. Open to maybe 1-2 others right now, so it scales up gradually.

I've been working on N5/Higher AI bots, using the Gemini API. Accurate to SQA courses. No individual pupil sign-in. Tested with my classes over the last couple of weeks, but I've posted a link on @stacshq if anyone's willing to test (DM for a demo class code). @CompSciScot

I've been using Gemini through Glow. Having access to AI in the classroom (and the ability to push messages to a pupil's screen) opens up so many educational possibilities. 🤖
