Terrific review of the glorious BATMAN RETURNS by @Rob197711, right here!
letterboxd.com
A post-modernist slice of gothic German expressionism featuring outlandish themes of identity, duality, schizophrenia, tragedy and abandonment, it could only be Tim Burton’s attempt at a Summer…

What a wonderful day of cinema Saturday was; I got to experience two of 1982's best on the big screen! Firstly there was E.T: The Extra Terrestrial; here's my new Letterboxd review
letterboxd.com
E.T was one of those films in my youth that was always there. It's influence on popular culture was absolutely immense, and the fact that it became the most successful film ever made after its 1982…

A beautifully perceptive and very funny look at the second Before film that gets to grips with its emotional and moral themes, but doesn't forget to throw in a quick rendition of the chorus to Inner Circle's biggest hit outside of that Cops TV show theme.

Going back to 1982 for a National Cinema Day double-bill - the film referenced on my tee isn't on today's schedule, but it was released in 1982, so it's all good

The Before films make for one of the most beautiful, honest and engrossing trilogies in cinema. Cat and Rich are your wonderful hosts for the first in a trilogy of episodes looking at each of the films. This was a brilliant listen.

RoboCop is one of the best films ever made. Cinema Parlor recognise this, and offer up a fabulous tribute that could have been double the length and I'd have still dug it. Suitable for iron butts, boners and assholes everywhere.

'All I Wanna Do' is THE Beach Boys song for me. Still beautiful, still otherworldly.
Today in 1970, The Beach Boys released their sixteenth studio album, Sunflower. Considered by many to be the group’s finest post-Pet Sounds album, its reputation has only grown in later years, becoming a true classic. What's your favorite track?
