I spent the first 25 years of my life in this very modest North Minneapolis home. I rode by today to check it out. Hasn't changed much except there were no kids ANYWHERE. Kinda sad. My parents were working poor, who died near penniless, and that is a great motivator for me!

I went to a political protest event at the Minnesota Capitol in 2008 and law enforcement was THICK. Organizers for tomorrow's NO KING'S rally/protest say they are expecting somewhere between 100-150K, after originally predicting a crowd of 10K.

According to @zillow, my modest Minneapolis home is valued at $384K. But @CityMinneapolis assessors put its proposed 2027 assessed value at nearly 15% higher! Incidentally, the city's commercial real estate tax base is plummeting. Coincidence? Hmmm...
