What @nickmelvoin said! Why aren’t more leaders in LAUSD fighting for our most vulnerable learners???
Nearly a year into this, parents—and kids—deserve more than political theater. They deserve to know that every public official is working hard to support them and prioritizing a safe return to campus for families who need that option, starting with our highest need students.

Loads of kids on campus today at Kester Ave. elementary doing a shoot for Apple TV. So it’s unsafe to have kids w/ disabilities on @LASchools campuses for vital services & education, but it’s safe to have them working there? @lapublichealth #openschools

Fewer LAUSD students are proficient in basic literacy skills this year, @AlisonLASchools reported. Kids with disabilities dropped from 23% to 10% proficient. LAUSD could be teaching these kids on campus under @lapublichealth rules but has chosen not to. @CAGovernor @TonyThurmond
