what I’m saying is they message could’ve been interpreted a number of ways and it’s certainly easier to assume hostility when received over a near-anonymous text (vs an irl, face to face convo — which, even then! irl ftf convo is still rife with miscommunication potential!).

i understand it’s a response to being jaded by men being evil but it’s so much easier to dismiss humanity casually online bc twitter snark brain assumes the worst in everyone and men in the dating scene having a terrible rep on top of that makes for a. really anti-social combo!.

i think maybe it’s not worth it to online date if your starting orientation is defensive/hostile by default.
