When I sat with Robert a year ago, he said he didn’t think he’d be executed because he was innocent. He also said, that if he did die, it was part of God’s plan for something bigger. Robert is still with us, and I know that’s part of God’s plan for all of us. #txlege

If so many people are still wrestling w/whether a crime even happened all these years later, then Robert shouldn’t have an execution date hanging over him in the first place. I believe in his innocence and applaud the court for taking a breath rather than taking a life. #txlege
