in the sense that. yes. the music is upbeat pop. but there's a lot of bitter resentment in the actual lyrics. even in the love songs! not resentment at the man she's with, but towards pretty much everything and everyone else. it's an interesting reading of the project that +

this is something i hope we circle back to, time and space to write like 30+ songs for a project and the ability to narrow it down to like 14 tracks + 3 or 4 for a deluxe edition just like the good ol’ days
