not liking sports is one thing, but completely ignoring (or not caring) that "everything is political" includes sports is so silly sports communities are diverse, intersectional, and a great way to learn about so many different cultures if you're open minded
this is not a conversation for now but i think the trend of leftists devaluating sports does a real disservice to the role of sports in politics, identity, organizing, and eventually peacebuilding
