Feelings don't matter.
My baseline for an "acceptable" amount of crime is my 75 year old mother feeling safe walking around alone at 11PM. If not then crime is too high. It's unacceptable for law abiding taxpayers to be unable to walk the streets of their city and it's insane that we act like it is.

One of the GAs at my old gig was a former college volleyball player and we used to talk a lot about trying to get some of the culture/response of that into hoop. Never happened but would def be a big part of what I try to do if I ever decide to lead a HS program.
