The problem is not people being uneducated. The problem is that people are educated just enough to believe what they have been taught, and not educated enough to question anything from what they have been taught. đź§

If you cross this with @CarlotaPrzPerez's thinking on technological revolutions and financial capital you can almost get a glimpse of how long it takes to distribute the future...if you squint hard enough.

“A world of informational transparency will necessarily be one of deliriously multiple viewpoints, shot through with misinformation, disinformation, conspiracy theories and a quotidian degree of madness.” That was @GreatDismal in 2003. https://t.co/7OmSUK1lSJ

Sage advice for anyone living in the world of boards and executives. Going through some of this right now as part of our board duties at the @MadRiverGlen Co-operative. Getting people ready to create great choices is the name of the game!

Great insight here from Roger Martin. Matches my experiences in industry too. Most incentive schemes are counter productive. And then there is the evil of stack-ranking and forced curve-fitting...

Despite what you read on Medium or in Fast Company… Design isn’t dead. Designers are not vanishing. Design hasn’t been enslaved by capitalism. Design is not a lost cause. Design practice and designers are alive and doing great work. I’m proud to be part of this community.

My wife went into a bike shop a couple of weeks ago with a simple request and got mansplained and dunked on in front of her 14 year old daughter. The dude did not listen. Start with listening. Help people with what then need, not what you think they need.

It’s not a publisher dear. They don’t publish information. We do and we are not it’s employees. They cannot be held accountable for what idiots post. They have a set of rules that they follow & make us adhere to so as to allow for maximum enjoyment by as many as possible.

An oldie but a goodie. This is the link I keep finding myself sharing to explain the ongoing, dramatic, innovative unbundling going on in digital banking stack. hat tip @astrange : https://t.co/2y6J2CcPG2 #tech via @a16z

TIL that NOx is a factor for global warming. Eep. That is very bad. One of the greatest scientific-engineering breakthroughs was the Haber–Bosch process. Most of the nitrogen in you is from the Haber–Bosch process.
