If I install a variable font on mac, do I still need to install the regular individual version like bold, italic etc? Assuming no but would love to know from someone dig through this before.

It's 2026 and @macOS still has no way to create a new file from the finder window. How come?

Thought migrating from @radix_ui to @base_ui is a drop-in replacement. Mostly yes, except the `asChild` from Radix UI. Base UI uses ` render()` prop instead. Both works fine though. Experienced this first when copying the @shadcn dark mode toggle component. Docs need update.

Adding an emoji to WiFi SSID was one of my worst decisions ever. Why? Not all devices have support for special characters like emoji in WiFi SSID. i.e. PS4/5

Love the matte black theme from @OmarchyLinux so much that couldn't wait to install but set the wallpaper on macOS immediately for now. I guess the first step is done. Needs to try it on an old MacBook that's been sitting somewhere. Couldn't install it on M1 through VirtualBox.

Renamed a few files from lowercase to pascal case manually through VS Code and Git didn't detect that as a change due to default case-insensitive filesystem set `core.ignorecase=true`. Had to rename that through `git mv` as well to ensure Git track the correct changes.

It was a beautiful evening today. Weather was super nice. It’s the street where the thief left the bike in a street parking locked with two new chains. Luck was with me second time. The same thing happened last year but in a different street.

Finally, recovered it successfully together with @POL_Groningen 🙏 Had to cut the two new chain locks that the thief used. Thanks to AirTag and Politie Groningen 🙌

It was locked with a descent chain and we went inside of a LIDL supermarket for around ~10 minutes in our neighborhood. It’s frustrating that @POL_Groningen is taking so long for a situation like this. I’m all alone waiting at the place where the bike is right now 😕

My bike was stolen about ~4 hours ago today in front of a LIDL supermarket from my neighborhood. I tracked it down through Apple AirTag but still couldn’t get it back. Waiting for the police to come since past over an hour to recover it. It’s getting dark 😕
