As we have previously reported, #Guardians SP Luis Ortiz is under investigation for sports gambling. The post was initially taken down so that we could allow MLB to deal with this criminal swiftly and quietly. After this became public, we are now able to confirm these reports.

Cleveland Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz is under investigation for gambling, a source confirms to ESPN. Ortiz was placed on paid leave by MLB earlier today amid a league investigation into gambling activities. First on the news of gambling were @Ken_Rosenthal and @ZackMeisel.

Pirates manager Don Kelly said Oneil Cruz was removed from tonight’s game due to “energy and effort” on the double play he hit into in his final at-bat. He was unwilling to say if Cruz will be in the lineup tomorrow.
