You can say I'm cynical, but I've given up on people's ability to think. Humans are fundamentally irrational beings.

I think the number of people who find this difficult is entirely expected. Just spend some time in the comment section on any news story and you'll see that a lot of people have very poor reading comprehension, let alone critical reasoning ability.

Hey @Microsoft, screw your and your dumb Copilot, too. Nobody asked for that annoying popup icon in Word that is impossible to get rid of. Seriously, what is wrong with all of you tech idiots trying to force AI on us?

Oh, the liar lied to you? Shocking! Who could have predicted this turn of events?
BUYERS REMORSE! This is Jason Zugai, VP of the Steel Workers Union, speaking at a Trump rally during the campaign. Earlier this week Trump announced he will block the US Steel- Nippon deal. "For me, yeah, very frustrated with the news. He lied to us. It's like a gut punch."

Pastor at my old church (the guy who replaced me): "I bet you're thinking, 'I've never heard a sermon about genealogies.'" He's talking about a passage in Matthew I preached on just a few years ago. š

Honestly what is wrong with these people?
Rep. Troy Nehls (R., Texas): "If Donald Trump says tariffs work, tariffs work. Period. Because Donald Trump is really never wrong." Young people will have to believe me: The conservative movement was not like this, and neither was the Republican Party.

I've been spending more time where the skies are bluer, and it is quite refreshing. Not sure how much I'll be on this site anymore. If you've been thinking about making the jump, do it. It's worth it.

I'm sorry, what? You're going to have red state national guards invade blue states to enforce mass deportation? How exactly is that going to work?
AP: āHe has spoken about deploying the National Guard, which can be activated on orders from a governor. Stephen Miller, a top Trump adviser, said sympathetic Republican governors could send troops to nearby states that refuse to participate.ā #copolitics

We need people who are kind, even when they personally stand to gain nothing from it. It seems like this Middle Eastern guy who lived a long time ago said something about that. Oh yeah. "Do to others as you would have them do to you." That sounds pretty good to me. 9/end

We live in an age of selfishness and cruelty toward others. (Just take a scroll through this website and you can find countless examples.) What the world needs is not more self-centered jerks with no regard for anyone else. 8/

Even if you believe they are mistaken about their gender identity, do you really think calling them by the name or pronouns they have rejected will change their mind? Does it help them in any way? Or does it simply make you feel better about yourself? 7/

Again, I will emphasize that this has nothing to do with your personal beliefs on human sexuality and gender identity. Your insistence on calling someone what you think they should be called is rooted in selfishness, not concern for the other person. 6/

If a person asks to be called by their real name instead of a nickname, we'd find it rude if someone insisted on using the nickname. Why is it any less rude to refuse to call a trans person what they ask to be called? 5/

Whether or not you personally believe that a person can change genders or be a different gender than their biological sex, the principle of respecting others remains the same. Do you have to agree about everything with someone in order to respect them as a human being? 4/

It occurred to me in that moment that if children can understand the simple concept of calling someone what they ask to be called, why do grownups have such a hard time with it when it's a trans person? I can already hear the chorus of "it's not the same!" But why isn't it? 3/

It turns out their classmate used to go by his nickname, Johnny, but decided he no longer wanted to be called that and instead wanted to go by his full name, Jonathan. The friend simply forgot, but immediately corrected himself when he heard my son use the full name. 2/

A š§µ on preferred names and pronouns: Awhile back I was on a field trip with one of my sons. My son and his friend spotted a classmate. "Hi Johnny," the friend called out. "Hi Jonathan," my son said. "Oh yeah, I mean Jonathan," said the friend. (Name changed for privacy.) 1/
