“If we detect signals from 20 phones inside a store, but see almost no receipts, that’s a cue to dispatch a team immediately,” another inspector explained.
Greece's once notorious tax system has been transformed into one of Europe's most efficient, powered by drones, big data and real-time surveillance.

Writing grant proposals again. I feel like I should switch to "mysticism", because apparently that's where the big research bucks is. ( note: their majority funding is not from the taxpayers, so I'm personally totally fine with this. )

They have been doing this for 3 years now (Finnair used to fly the route back in cold war days too.) The A350 had to be certified for 300 minute ETOPS because there is really nowhere to land over there.

In Japan again, and Finnair again used the "Northern Route" (I got a certificate this time!) Recap: Russian airspace being completely blocked, this flight from Helsinki goes almost right over the north pole to reach Bering Strait (and Alaska ATC), then turns SW to reach Tokyo.

Finnair's Airbus 350 and JAL's Boeing 777 have different flight characteristics. In this case the A350 flew the route in substantially higher altitude, which apparently isn't that economical for the 777.

I've taken the Helsinki-Haneda route which is a bit special-- apparently the Capt. & airline make the decision on which way to go around Russia (North Pole or Asia) only shortly before takeoff, based on prevailing winds etc. In this case Finnair using A350's may have also helped.
Yesterday, Japan Airlines and Finnair flights from Helsinki to Tokyo took very different routes. Even though it flew further, Finnair beat JAL to Haneda. We look at some of the flight planning considerations. https://t.co/6NrYm3tvZY

NEW: The board of the Fulbright Program has just resigned after accusing Trump aides of political interference. They say a State Dept. office under Rubio and Darren Beattie has cancelled scholarships to nearly 200 US professors and researchers. Story:

The board of the prestigious program told the State Department it had no right to cancel scholarships for nearly 200 American professors and researchers.

I mean, those things basically require no action at all. An intern can compose such a list of product categories, and TLS 1.3 by itself has nothing to do with PQC.

Some seem to have interpreted the Trump June 6 "cybersecurity diff" EO to set some kind of deadline on PQC but no. This EO imposes a deadline for a PQC product categories (?) and, uh, TLS 1.3. (However those PQC deadlines still exists in other places.) https://t.co/JuXTMxUmJy
