A mother took her sons to an ICE check-in. She never saw them again. They had no criminal records. They were pursuing green cards. In the new Trump admin, it didn’t matter .

RT @katie_honan: many people can’t pronounce “Mamdani” correctly but it’s also 2025 and people still don’t know how to spell “de Blasio”.

This is actually a good point that should be addressed. Fact is that Chicago isn't really an affluent Ivy League college town populated with droves of young lily white trust fund socialists. It's a larger city, poorer by almost every measure, and a lot more working class. Yes.

Triple map of the Adams 2021, Cuomo 2025 and Adams-Cuomo swing, all on the 2025 map. Cuomo and Adams' coalitions were different - Despite losing Manhattan, Cuomo actually did better than Adams there outside of Harlem. African-American areas are the most purple (Adams>Cuomo).

Mamdani’s campaign manager starts by thanking the campaign’s “first endorsers,” a list of groups that is striking in how different it is from that of recent mayors . NYC DSA .NYCC .The WFP….

They were playing the hits (Zohran videos) at Mamdani’s election night party until a little after 10, when the TV switched to NY1 showing his early lead.

This is a very interesting and thoughtful piece about how it’s no sure thing that Mamdani would want to run on the WFP line if he loses this primary. And a little hint of the various paths that could be open to Lander…
