Not sure how @virginmedia think putting my broadband monthly cost up to £47.50 is a good deal. Will be calling in the morning to cancel.

So seems @ThreeUK are tight with the allowance for data while in Tenerife, I have unlim back in UK but only allowed 12GB of that while on holiday, however hubby and daughter on @virginmedia get to use all of their allowance. Seems virgin is the better choice.

Having a bad manager can really stunt your growth, promotion wise and imposter syndrome wise. It can also burn you out. This is why vetting your manager during interviews is very important.

Why is being good at your job rewarded with MORE work with no salary review. Maybe I should just be shit at my job and get rewarded with a promotion....Time to review the CV me thinks.

In a study was carried out in the Ul (bristol) after Black and brown parents complained about their childrens grades. They introduced a “blind element” meaning the examiner did not know the race of the students they were grading, and the teacher assessments were done face to face

The one joy of working from home is the ability to just put the Sonos speakers on throughout the house to help destress. Listening to music and singing while working is joyful.

We asked our employees where they want to work: 7% want to go to the office full time 31% want an office-remote hybrid 62% want to work only from home So I told them: sounds great. Do whatever you want. As a CEO, what do I care? If you get your work done, that's all that matters

At my 15 year olds parents evening this week every teacher advised she was very much a leader and then gave examples of leadership qualities she displays. Really sums it up when my 15 year old has more leadership skills then some managers I've known.

companies will be like "workers are so lazy nowadays" and ignore how if people work hard, they will reward them with more work and the same pay

This is 100% correct, finding a manager that is also a great leader unfortunately isnt common place any more sadly. A lot of YES people seem to get promoted but can't lead or manage a team.

The moment you find out #hermes is delivering your parcel you know full well it's either going to get lost, take a week to arrive or be delivered damaged. Why the hell do companies use this crappy delivery company.

@3vanSutton While working in HR years ago, I always said, “People do not quit their jobs—they quit their bosses”. I still find it to be highly accurate. Bosses didn’t like to hear it.

Boris Johnson tonight on the BBC "I've given you the most important metric which is, never mind life expectancy, never mind cancer outcomes, look at wage growth." I beg to differ! Ghastly appalling disregard for our people.
