If you’ve ended up on my page because I’ve gone viral, it’s likely that you hate the idea of AI filmmaking and storytelling and I totally get that. But if you’re interested in learning how it works, genuinely happy to teach you for free. I’m going to start doing weekly sessions.

Love the work of Issa and excited to feature his film this week in the @MachineCinemaAI newsletter!.
What if there was a TV show about the richest man who ever lived, Mansa Musa? What if it explored the incredible journey of Mansa Abu Bakr II, the African ruler who sailed the Atlantic and reached the Americas nearly a century before Columbus? Would you watch it?. ✨ New Mansa

At 300+ Likes, it was mostly friends and the AI filmmaking community supporting this tweet. Once I hit around 500+ Likes it brought out all the detractors who apparently couldn't hate me more. It only inspires me to make even more content, both AI and not.
AI filmmaking and storytelling is punk rock. It’s hip hop. It’s counterculture. It’s a new type of creativity. It’s a new medium. It’s hated by the mainstream film and art establishment. It resists ideology. It ignores gate keeping. It’s uncomfortable. It’s scary. It’s viral.

It’s interesting to think this is true for devs but likely not true at all for people in AI storytelling because the output is more content they can iterate on. Quizzical on how we could judge the quality of those stories though. But that’s hard to judge, in the first place.
This was very interesting. basically there was a study about the effect of AI coding tools on developer productivity. The self assessed productivity gain was +20%, the observed productivity impact was -19%.
