So apparently React Native development is mostly about figuring out what crashed your app this time.

Even when using NativeWind, Claude Code really doesn't nail porting UI components from React to React Native. They are nowhere near tbh. I'm a bit surprised by this, but I guess the UI paradigms between the two frameworks just aren't that close.

I now remember managing all the provisioning profiles, certificates, environment variables, and all that via GH Actions only is painful, so I switched to Expo Application Services to handle builds and submits. This is much more vibe-friendly.

Day 1 of vibe porting React PWA to React Native App (Expo). UI is 30% migrated. Most time was spent configuring Github Actions to deploy builds to App Store Connect, which works now. Also configuring Clerk OAuth for Expo took time. Next I’ll port the rest of the UI components.

Vibe porting my workout app from React to React Native today. Initially I thought a web app would be enough but the mobile PWA is annoying and it’s hard to nail the mobile look and feel. Let’s see how fast this can be done.
