We're donating MCP to the @linuxfoundation and launching the Agentic AI Foundation with @OpenAI, @blocks, @AWS, @Bloomberg, @Cloudflare, @Google, and @Microsoft. MCP went from internal project to industry standard in a year. Now it gets the long-term stewardship it deserves.
Anthropic is donating the Model Context Protocol to the Agentic AI Foundation, a directed fund under the Linux Foundation. In one year, MCP has become a foundational protocol for agentic AI. Joining AAIF ensures MCP remains open and community-driven.

Our engineers have found that Opus 4.5 handles ambiguity and reasons about tradeoffs without hand-holding. When pointed at a complex, multi-system bug, it figures out the fix. Overall, Opus 4.5 just "gets it."

Very interesting new GDPval benchmark from @OpenAI, both showing the pace of improvement and also how much headroom the models still have.
On GDPval, expert graders compared outputs from leading models to human expert work. Claude Opus 4.1 delivered the strongest results, with just under half of its outputs rated as good as or better than expert work. Just as striking is the pace of progress: OpenAI’s frontier

As someone who lived in Xcode for years, love to see this — coding assistance with Claude right where Apple developers already are.
Now generally available in Xcode 26: Developers can connect their Claude account to Xcode and power coding intelligence features with Claude Sonnet 4. Generate documentation, explain highlighted code, generate previews and playgrounds, and more with Claude in Xcode.
