happy memorial day 🇺🇸 excited to share an article with @bahrani_maryam on anonymous participation. we characterize the equilibria of a simple lottery game before looking at how proof-of-work and prover markets could optimize for certain outcomes!. see link + threads below ⤋

(5/7) @bahrani_maryam presented our joint work on prover market design for Ethereum. she compared the use of lotteries and auctions as candidate mechanisms. see her thread here for more!.
ZK has always been the proposed endgame for Ethereum scaling and is advancing faster than anticipated, aggressively pulling forward timelines. Still, there is a lack of clarity around the market design when enshrining ZK in the L1. A short 🧵of my EthCC talk on this topic ↓

(3/7) at @EthCC itself, i gave a similar talk focused on the more general issue of vertical sharding of the blob mempool. this is a presentation of a recent article with @fradamt and @_julianma
happy day after friday the 13th! excited to share "On the future of the blob mempool" with @_julianma @fradamt. reconciling how the consensus and execution clients handle blobs is a vital unresolved question for scaling ethereum data. this doc continues that conversation. 🔗↴

(1/7) at “Blockspace Futures Day,” hosted by @ETHGASofficial & @titanbuilderxyz, i talked about blob futures. we discussed how they could solve a core issue introduced by PeerDAS before exploring what features blob futures could offer to L2s and users.

but for now, thanks to @drakefjustin for his amazing positive energy and for bringing me to the EF in the first place, and @ralexstokes for being a great manager, leader, and friend. cheers to the future of the EF and the Ethereum protocol 🍻☀️.

it's so exciting to see the EF swing for the fences–this reflects a renewed focus and improves the protocol's long-term position!. the careful reader may have noticed that i'm no longer in the org chart. this is b/c, as many of you know, i'm leaving the EF to return to school📚.
You can find out more about these strategic initiatives, along with the new team structure here: . I’m excited by this next chapter in the EF’s journey as a steward of Ethereum. Let’s ship Protocol.

Just published a post on anonymous participation with @mikeneuder!. Blockchains enable distributed actors to participate in shared protocols; incentives serve to coordinate this participation. We explore the protocol design space through a game-theoretic framework 🧵+ 🔗↓
