Someone find me this man. I owe him a beer. Entire game this lady was chirping at him for CHEERING for the Patriots in “her” stadium. Absolute shit ending for NE & she’s up in his face. He stayed calm after seeing the worst loss ever. I know I wouldn’t. He deserves some love.
1. Dude just walked off the street and ran a 4.2.
2. He's 32.
3. Five years ago he would have run a 4.1.
4. Even now, if he trained, he'd run a 4.1.
5. Unbelievable.
Women’s soccer player,
@mPinoe
, just stated that she is “not going to the F...ing White House if we win.” Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level...
The former head of the CIA just said the nuke docs found at Trump’s golf course are so secretive they are kept in safe’s inside the SCIF.
Not just in the SCIF. In a safe inside the SCIF.
So, to summarize:
1. Black man, sitting in his own apartment, is murdered by white officer who says she went in wrong apartment.
2. Police now trying to smear the murdered man by saying they found weed in his apartment.
3. And some of y'all still wonder why they kneel.
They fined Osaka for not taking questions, then the head refused to take questions. You cannot make this stuff up.
This is why you can’t take these organizations seriously.
FFT president Gilles Moretton made a statement in French about Naomi Osaka's withdrawal, then repeated it in English, then left without taking questions.

Was thinking about how Howard Dean once went “YEAHHHHH!!!!” really loud and lost the nomination. That was it. He just said yeah loud and the media was like: oh hell no that’s not Presidential
Bottom line with Kaepernick’s workout is this: it demonstrated why there isn’t, never was, and never will be a FOOTBALL reason for him to be out of the NFL.
Not one.
White power symbols. From Army cadets. Knowing they are on live television.
Trump emboldens this trash. He absolutely does.
These guys should be kicked out immediately.
1. I covered him at Florida.
2. Interviewed him one on one.
3. Know some of his players and talked them extensively.
4. His stint at Florida was one of the most corrupt in CFB history.
5. He covered up terrible domestic abuse at Ohio State.
Stick to basketball Doug.
Always smart for a media member to comment on a person they don’t 1)know 2)cover 3)have any relationships with people who have worked for or played for said person
I’m 57. I have never experienced, as an adult, a period like this where the racism, the antisemitism, was so out in the open. So blatant. So aggressive. From everywhere, all the time.
What is certain about this horrible story about Duke volleyball player Rachel Richardson is everyone failed. Duke did. BYU did. All the coaches. The ADs. All of them.
Only Richardson showed strength and courage and she shouldn’t have had to.
All you people expressing sympathy for Dak keep this same energy whenever a player holds out for a better deal. This is why they do it. Their seasons, their careers, can end in an instant.
Kaepernick lost his career. Stood up when few others would. Was blackballed. Gives greatly to charity. Was used as racially charged propaganda by the president. Never lashed out. Helps so many people. What more is he supposed to do?
The NFL unveils an emotional public service announcement centered around the story of Botham Jean, an unarmed black man who was fatally shot in his own home by an off-duty police officer.
Just to be clear...
No Jay-Z. No Robert Kraft and Meek Mill. No players coalition. No amount of money can erase the fact the NFL punished
@Kaepernick7
for speaking out on behalf of people of color, and continues to ban him.
Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.
NFC West team official on the Kaepernick workout this weekend: “This entire thing is a sham. The NFL is full of shit. It’s a show. But he should do it because some of us are sincere. Some of us see him for what he is: a good man.”
Bosa has been following white nationalist accounts with some of the most vile and disgraceful content you’ll see. There’s other disturbing things he’s done on social media.
A black player who did the equivalent would see his draft stock tumble like Nadia Comaneci.
Yet...crickets
Flacco is 35. Had surgery last season for a herniated disk in his neck. Broncos released him in March due to failed physical. He won't be ready to practice until September.
But please. Keep telling me about Cam not getting signed because of his injuries.
For all the NFL owner capers: Chiefs cut Justin Houston today so they didn’t have to pay the $15 million due him this season.
But please go ahead and keep calling Antonio Brown disloyal.
I’m not saying Aaron Rodgers is perfect or without flaws. But I have never seen such an historic talent so dramatically underserved by his organization.
My mom emerged from surgery in excellent condition. Thank you for the kind words.
Mom joined the National Security Agency at the height of the Cold War. She served her country for almost 40 years at NSA. She’s a hero and a patriot.
Okay, back to the NFL.
This is why you pay Aaron Rodgers.
This is why you pay Khalil Mack.
This is why (you should) pay Le’Veon Bell.
Pay your best players.
Don’t trade them or make them wait.
Pay them.
The idea that the NFL would assess penalties for players peacefully protesting before the game even begins is so absurd I don’t even know where to start.
I don’t feel like Jay-Z’s relationship with the NFL has produced anything tangible in terms of advancing social and racial justice issues. Which was supposed to be the core of the partnership.
Am I wrong?
Been covering professional sports for 25 years and I can’t stress enough how rare it is for a white professional player to PUBLICLY speak this way.

Occasionally I share these and not block out the language because it’s important everyone see what it’s like for many journalists of color. On an almost daily basis.
If I’m the Ravens, what I saw last night only convinces me more that Lamar Jackson is going to be a legendary great.
He never quit last night. He kept fighting. So in addition to his smarts and physical abilities, he’s got a crazy strong will.
The most important part of the Tyreek Hill tape is you hear the REAL Tyreek Hill. Not the PR Tyreek Hill. Not the Tyreek Hill the Chiefs wanted you to see. Not the Hill he wanted you to see. You hear the dude who once assaulted his pregnant girlfriend.
The idea that Tebow is “mocked for his faith” is a fallacy. NFL teams never punished him for it, in fact, many front offices embraced him for it. Large swaths of the fan base did the same.
If you want to talk about someone truly ostracized for his beliefs see Kaepernick, Colin.
One thing I love about Tim Tebow is that he has stayed true to himself since day one.
He’s been mocked for his faith, preaches it anyway. Made fun of for trying out baseball, pursued it anyway. Laughed at for holding onto football, still won’t give up on his NFL dream.
Remember, the people who say the riots at the Capitol were a “dust-up” are same ones who chastised Colin Kaepernick as disrespectful to the police for taking a knee before football games.
Naomi Osaka owes tennis nothing.
She owes the media nothing.
The lack of compassion, the lack of even a minimal about of decency shown to her by a significant number of people, has been telling.
Really telling.
Some news...I've joined USA Today as an editor leading coverage of race and inequality in sports. I'll also write on the subject.
I'm ecstatic...honored...grateful. All the emotions.
Many people to thank which I will do at a later time but for now:
Let's GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm just said on MSNBC that he spoke to the Vikings team today.
He said 180 million Americans vaccinated and not a single death due to the vaccine.
"Aspirin isn't that safe."
