No one should be using this site anymore given his propanganda and general hate toward those less fortunate and more vulnerable. My new home is here:. . You should move to or to anywhere else.

The @NSF awarded a grant to a research team from the @bclynchschool and Morrissey College for a project titled, “Empowering Youth in STEM and Technological Careers through AI-enhanced Sustainable and Community-focused Urban Gardening."

We had been tracking our youth over time, unlike most other NSF funded projects, and now more convinced than ever that if we are really understand impact programs need to track 10+ years or more and if they aren't how do you know?.

focus on social justice and youth development as drivers of curriculum at STEM is the supportive processes that drive inquiry, near-peer mentoring is critical, opportunities for leadership within program, and most important to design these programs requires *a lot* of time.

What we have learned @STELAR_CTR @CADREK12 @informalscience for youth who have opted out of STEM programs need to be committed to long-term rentention 3+ years, have leadership pathways, never give up a youth no matter what, retain instructors over time.

So stay on Twitter and hopefully see Musk lose (tens) of billions of dollars? Have to say that has a *lot* of appeal. Though overall not that excited to stay.

Of all the challenging tasks I've taken on over the past twenty years by the most difficult has been recognizing when that sneaky depression fiend is re-emerging and taking steps to prevent. Extremely challenging. Fail, success, fail, success, etc. .

More convinced than ever that pathway programs that engage youth over time is critical but extremely difficult and time intensive. Also been fortunate to have some of the same teaching staff for 10+ and 15+ years also *VERY* important.

@bclynchschool all youth from historically excluded groups in #STEM, Youth recruited with initial lower interest in STEM - 3 years+ to re-ignite that interest. Still analyzing the data. Most important over $18M in scholarship funds over those 20 years.

Yep, 10:30pm, tracking down the medicine and corresponding equipment that keeps our 14 year old alive. Good thing the medical system is best in the world in the USA.

Hmmm. So with insulin. with two type 1 diabetics in our house, pretty good insurance. The cost of the medicine and delivery mechanisms is still about the cost of a mortgage/month give or take. I'm sure the insurers will absorb the cost. .
The list price of a new A.L.S. medication will be $158,000 a year. The drug company said it expects insurers to absorb most of the cost so that most patients will have to pay little themselves.

The worst thing that can happen when you visit a dentist is when they take an x-ray and you hear: "well that is an interesting morphology". or. they get others in the office and. "have you *ever* seen this before?". or "This looks complicated. ". fun. .

So (1) growing up without health insurance means teeth when you hit middle age = trouble, (2) My genetic background is about 33% Native American, 67% English. Turns out that combo leads to nearly every tooth have multiple roots (3, 4 or more).

About as surprising as the sun coming up. 20% of the US universities produced 80% of all tenure track faculty members. closely connected core of high-prestige universities that exchange faculty with each other and export faculty to—but rarely import them.
