Today I called out IDS’s selective memory regarding a previous Maccabi game. I clarified that it was in fact played behind close doors and moved to Hungary, because the Turkish authorities would not allow the game to be played in Turkey. #HenceNoTrouble #SelectiveMemory

Iain Duncan Smith says when Maccabi played a game in Istanbul there was no trouble at all @IanByrneMP had to point out UEFA moved the game to Hungary after the Turkish authorities refused to stage it &the Hungarian authorities then played it behind closed doors. Hence no trouble

Amazing story in The Times. Reform UK failed to pay VAT to HMRC on its sales (tickets, merchandise). About £400k in all. Not tax avoidance. Not tax evasion. They just didn't realise when you sell stuff you have to charge VAT.
