Tech moves forward when we respect differing strengths and make space for both approaches. Find what fits your project, learn from every option, and keep building!.

Here’s the truth: both camps have valid reasons. One prioritizes tradition and cohesion, the other innovation and choice. The best progress comes from understanding—not rivalry.

But let’s not overlook the value of options. Modular systems let you swap in new ideas fast, adapt to shifting needs, and tackle niche problems with precision. Sometimes, “more tools” really does mean “more power.”.

Resisting change isn’t always just nostalgia; sometimes it’s wisdom. Maintaining a steady, reliable base protects against unneeded complexity and risk. Valid point!.

Modular fans chase flexibility and specialization. Breaking things into focused modules brings options—new tools, rapid innovation, and the power to pick the right solution for every job.

Those who favor monoliths value stability, simplicity, and unified control. They appreciate the reliability and predictability of keeping everything under one roof—something that worked well in the “days of old” and still does for many teams.

Monoliths vs. modular architectures: it’s not about which is “better”—it’s about what fits the challenge. Both have strengths shaped by different goals and values.

🚀 Devs love to debate: “Old school monolith or new school modular?” But what if the real answer isn’t about picking sides—what if it’s about understanding what drives each choice?.

Command lines are having a moment in 2025. I didn’t see “everyone loving CLIs again” on my bingo card! . Should I brush up on Unix and dust off my COBOL textbook next? . What’s old is new, again.

Someone check on @thdxr and @adamdotdev. No update on @OpenCode_AI for over 9 hours! Take them Gatorade and recharge their keyboards! . In all seriousness, OpenCode is awesome, and the speed of development and releases has been breathtaking!🤯.

I just ran my first real @AmpCode Oracle (o3) code review! 🤯. 🔍 Running Oracle review. The Oracle identified several critical issues with your git workflow commands:. **🔴 Security Issues:**.- Shell injection vulnerability in commit messages and branch names.- Use.

This is my new favorite thing :). Added a pre-commit hook that asks the @AmpCode Oracle (o3) to check my changes before we commit. If you want the code, it's in the reply below.

Everyone's jobs will change. Some jobs will be unnecessary. Some people will lose their jobs. But many new jobs will be created. The world will be more productive. There will be higher GDP. There will be more jobs. But every job will be augmented by AI. - Jensen Huang,.

Had to fire up Windows today to build an Electron app. As much as I love my MacBook Pro, I have to admit—I’ve missed how smooth Windows window management can be!.

Shocked to see Windows code signing certificates cost up to $600/year to avoid “Unknown Publisher” warnings. Meanwhile, Apple includes signing certificates as part of the developer account. The price of trust!.

There is an option to opt out of Cursor's new pricing. The amount I am paying Cursor for the same usage patterns has increased dramatically. I can confirm that I do see the option to opt back in to the new pricing so it looks like you can go back and forth.

Cursor is running slowly today. Almost unusable. This is why we keep Windsurf on the bench, ready to go. You're up, Windsurf!.
