A stark reminder that COVID isn't over. a vaccinated friend tested positive a day after I hung out with her indoors unmasked. Her vaccinated neighbor also tested positive. I am currently self-isolating and keeping my fingers crossed.

My PhD will be my shortest degree. 🤔. Which is to say I had a weirdly long masters program because I kept taking time off to work 😂.

I held onto my conference badges because I thought it’d be fun to look back at all the fun conferences I attended during my PhD. but pretty sure I’ve attended more virtual conferences than irl ones at this point 😅

To improve dissertation-writing accountability, I've been sharing the daily hours I work on my dissertation and silently Zoom co-working with academics friends. all of whom I've met online. A part of me finds this totally weird. but hey, it works.

When I lived in Seattle, I planned my week around when I was gonna ski. When I first returned to the Bay, I thought a little about Tahoe, and proceeded to book all my days with meetings and work. The life of skiing every week now feels so distant 🤔⛷.
