This is why services like Psycho-Oncology are so important in ANY hospital providing cancer care, not just designated centres. We cannot and should not be picking one patient over another. There needs to be equity in access to such services for all patients and families

At @mercyfoundcork we are about supporting innovative person centred projects like the ‘Grippy Socks Project’. In an effort to reduce slips, trips and falls in the busy @Mercycork Emergency Department we have funded special socks that reduce the risk of slips, trips and falls.

One of my favourite features in our new @mercyfoundcork Cancer Centre on Dyke Parade. We have been very lucky to work with a great team who have respected the history and structures of the building.

Chemo Round 8 (ding ding 🔔 🥊) today. The team @Mercycork Lee Clinic are amazing. The care I’m receiving medically is what I’d expect but the care of the person and my mental health is top notch. Not unexpected but appreciated. So grateful for their kindness.

I have chosen to share my story because having cancer is now part of my life. I wake up with cancer, I take my kids to school, I work, I coach soccer. So I am living with cancer and with the amazing support of my family and the team @Mercycork I want that to continue.
