At a school I've never been at before today. Some things I LOVE: PE class has roller skates. Instead of "specials", art, music, pe, and library are called "essentials". Big fan. The arts, movement, and humanities are indeed essential.

Last night I started a new job teaching p5.js and JavaScript after school to a group of middle schoolers in the Bronx. 🥰🥰🥰My heart is so full. Middle school is my fav (now that I’ve survived it). They’ve got jokes 🤣

Today 5th gr Math Enrichment Ss worked on a simple fence code. They started by building a fence by hand then coded it-then refactored-adding loops, then variables and parameters to make their code more efficient and flexible. @PlayCraftLearn @WPTigerTech @wplainsschools
