A big thanks to everyone at the Kings that entrusted me with this story. Bul, Makuach and Kouat were fantastic to interview and shared some incredible stories and thoughtful reflections. Massive shoutout to the media crew that brought this story to life too. Amazing visuals.

Brisbane Bullets initial import trio - Javon Freeman-Liberty: Gone Jaylen Adams: Cut Casey Prather: Out for the season Remains to be seen what new face(s) get brought in, but it's hard to have a successful season with those import outcomes.

This is a significant signing for Adelaide. Brown Jr. Is essentially a rich man's version of Flynn Cameron - a wing with defensive versatility who can initiate offence. Also bigger, at 6'7 with a 6'11 wingspan. If they weren't already, the Sixers are officially stacked.
Troy Brown Jr. - a 6’7 American wing - has signed with the Adelaide 36ers for the remainder of the 2025-26 NBL season, sources told ESPN. Brown Jr. played 6 seasons in the NBA, primarily with the Lakers, Bulls, and Wizards.

Alex Condon vs North Florida - 25 PTS | 10 REB | 4 AST | 3 BLK | 2 STL - 26 mins Despite winning a national championship last season, Alex Condon decided he wanted to take a bet on his stock and last another season at the Gators. Great early signs he's taking another step.

His development may have been underwhelming relative to the hype, but he's still young and has NBL level qualities. When he's cutting actively and hitting shots, he should be a very handy NBL player. Awesome to see this breakout performance.

Zylan Cheatham has been my favourite player in NBL26 so far. Sacrificed scoring volume but has completely bought into his role, been a leader, and dominated the glass, the defensive end and taken a massive jump as a connective playmaker.

We haven't had many close games, but that doesn't mean we have the NBL all figured out this early in the season. Hawks with Hickey (and Peterson should only improve) are competitive. NZ has had moments (a mid-season change could help) and Cairns with Waardenburg will be better.

IMPORT 🚪 EXPORT 🚪 IMPORT 🚪 After an off-season analysing and anticipating an exciting import class, it’s been a shock to the system to see such a high rate of turnover amongst NBL26’s internationals.

Indigenous round is one of the most important rounds in the NBL calendar. Awesome to see teams like Melbourne United that go above and beyond with their embracing of the round!
BIGGER than 🏀 For @MelbUnited, Indigenous Round is about so much more than the game; it’s about culture, connection, and community. @michaelhoub caught up with Kyle Bowen to talk about how the club is leading by example in NBL26 and beyond. https://t.co/y7Y2rGnmOu

Very limited resistance in this game, but great to see Sam Mennenga continue to thrive this season for the NZ Breakers. Ability to score both inside and out gives him a weapon against most matchups.

Across 4 years in the G League, Admiral Schofield took less than half of his shots from 3. He played as a small 4/5. We've seen Schofield take 11 of his 14 shots from 3 today. Love to see him more aggressive getting to the rim, and matched up to attack bigs, where possible.

It's just preseason, and looking at the roster Tyrese may not see many minutes come the regular season, but what we've seen in preseason has been super promising. I had a look into Proctor's game, his role, and why he might be more suited for the NBA than college.

This Cairns team has some pretty fatal offensive flaws, in my opinion. First and foremost - lack of ball carriers/advantage creation. Teams are applying pressure and the Taipans are failing to generate good looks.
