Kiwi F Kahu Treacher (Eastern Arizona JUCO) is going on official visits to North Texas, Portland and Oregon State this week, I'm told. The 6'9 forward averaged 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for Eastern Arizona as a freshman, whilst shooting 36.6% from three.

This should have happened a long time ago. Glad the fiasco of a process is behind him. On a human level, great to have him recognised since calling Aus home since 2017. On a bball level, I hope he can repair the BA relationship and rep as a Boomer. ADL will also be very happy.

Australia had their first challenge at the FIBA U16 World Cup - a 73-61 win against Lebanon. Isaiah Jorgensen came up big for the Crocs with 20 points. Tom Dammers (16pts) also stepped up in the backcourt. Next game will be the QF vs winner of Korea and Kazakhstan.

This really sucks. Keli was set for a breakout year. Kings will presumably slide Cooks to the 5 more now, but would be wise to bring in an injury replacement signing as well, particularly with Spurgin out long term too.
Sydney Kings forward Keli Leaupepe will miss the entirety of the 2025-26 NBL season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee, the team says. He suffered the injury in the Kings’ NBL Blitz game on Thursday.

Think we need to chill on the Jaqouri McLaughlin hype. Average across NZNBL (small sample) and G League. Has had one very quiet preseason game, and one good one. Could the Hawks sign him? Sure. But it would be a big downgrade on Kell, and the average import level league wide.
