Here's Dante Exum's 13 points from Barcelona's OT win over Unics.
Slowly growing his offensive role, but he's also been fantastic on the defensive end.
Dante Exum is shooting the ball better than he ever has with Partizan this season.
Across 23 combined Liga ABA and Euroleague games, Exum is shooting 48% from three (54 attempts) and 95% from the line (84 attempts).
AWESOME debut for Dante Exum.
22 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists.
Barcelona was great for him but Exum will really get to shine in Partizan this season.
Chance to feature at an elite level and a great platform to get back to the NBA as well.
Seeing Reath and Exum blow up in the NBA this month has been amazing.
It may be an odd takeaway, but given how much we know NBA success is talent, but also opportunity and fit, I think we should stop placing inherent value in NBA pedigree when selecting Boomers squads.
(1/3)
In lieu of Josh Giddey's start to the season, do we all agree that he was almost an undeniable pick for the Olympic squad, disregarding possible extraneous factors such as Delly vet status, Giddey's pre-draft process, etc?
"You don't need to win a medal to have a beautiful journey" - Andrew Gaze.
Win or loss, it's been incredibly special watching this group compete at the Olympics all through growing up with integrity, determination and passion.
(I'm glad it ended in a win).
Lonnie Walker, Derrick White and Dejounte Murray is a crazy trio of young guards for the Spurs.
Almost makes you wonder whether DeRozan on 27m+ is going to become a piece they're best off moving.
Great to see such a strong South Sudanese representation in the NBL this season. Could see some more faces here depending on how remaining roster spots are filled.
Shoutout to Dunks Down Under on IG with the edit.
Here's Jock Landale's 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 15 minutes in his Spurs preseason debut.
Worth noting the 5 TO's in that time too (included in clip), but they were largely very fixable.. a travel plus a couple of sloppy outlet passes are things he'll tidy up.
Thon Maker made his first appearance for Hapoel Jerusalem a couple of nights ago.
Finished with 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 18 minutes.
The passing definitely seems to be the most promising takeaway here. In some nice positions to hit cutters and he executes well.

Episode one out now ⤵️
Just watched Dante Exum's 18 mins for Houston today.
Did a great job doing what we know he can do - attacking closeouts as a secondary playmaker w/ his 1st step, finding his bigs, and holding his own on D.
Generating 6 assists on the wing and w/o initiating much is great.
Vale,
@chomicide
.
Corey got me into the NBL as a kid.
An incredible showman while playing and league advocate after.
His passion for life is the sort of thing that enriched everyone around him.
Massive loss for the Aus bball community, but what a massive legacy he's left.
Danté Exum in the Mavericks’ win vs the Lakers today: 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. He made a new career-high 7 three-pointers (7/9 3pt).
In 4 games as a starter for the Mavs - all wins - Exum is averaging 17.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 5.8 apg. He’s playing the best basketball
This run is starting to get wild for Dante Exum.
Efficient secondary creator and now consistent spot up shooter with great size, cutting, and versatility on defensive guard matchups makes him a great piece alongside a heliocentric wing like Doncic.
So proud of Patty Mills. On the court, off the court. Rare example of a true sporting idol. Boomers culture trickles down from him. Great human, great leader, great ball player.
South Sudan won their African World Cup Qualifier against Eygpt 85-65 today, led by Jackson Makoi (14pts), Bul Kuol (13pts) and Sunday Dech (18pts).
This puts them in a very strong position to qualify for the World Cup.
Amazing story.
Jock Landale with his best preseason game yet - 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks.
He's been so consistent for the Suns thus far it seems like he's a lock for the regular rotation.
Well deserved after a year of minimal opportunity in San Antonio.
Keanu Pinder -
Senior Year at Arizona - 2.3ppg
1st NBL season with Adelaide - 4.8ppg
This season - 18.7ppg
Good example of persisting with a player with good tools, putting him in a position to succeed, and of course major credit to Pinder for improving his game too.
Dyson Daniels with an absolute blinder in his first (non preseason) G League game.
22 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists. 8/13 from the floor and an encouraging 3/5 from three.
Ignite giving him plenty of reps to develop on the ball, which is wonderful for his development.
Just a reminder today Giddey's actual draft spot isn't the end all be all.
Be cool to see him go as high as possible, given it's an endorsement of his quality by pro decision makers, but ultimately I just want him to go to an org that is a good fit and will develop him.
Jackson Makoi recently signed with Osijek in Croatia - the same team Max Darling played for from 18-20.
Had an outstanding professional debut, with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, a block and a rebound in a blowout W.
Get the feeling it's going to be a big season for him.
Can officially confirm that LeBron has signed on to play in NBL1 for the Northside Wizards.
(2005 born Queensland prospect LeBron Brooks. He's pretty good, check him out)
Cats out of the bag!

and I have taken a keen interest in supporting the futures of our junior basketball talent across AUS/NZ over recent years.
We've joined forces to create

Man is a bible when it comes to the young talent coming out of Australia and NZ.
Great morning chatting to Dyson Daniels and Xavier Cooks about Boomers and the NBA.
Both guys a really solid chance to make the final 12 for this year's World Cup.
I had a chat to Josh Giddey.
We discussed his path to success over his rookie year and his focuses going forward.
I also break down Giddey's sensational start, & examine why his ability on court, and presence off it, make him a worthy face for Australia's next generation.
NBA | Josh Giddey's promising rookie year and grounded, Aussie nature makes him the perfect candidate to represent Australian basketball in its strongest generation of talent yet.

(but please keep filming in the timeouts because it's great content, just stop fining NBL coaches).
South Sudan competed in the Afrobasket Pre-qualifiers earlier this month, and a handful of Australians were involved. I wanted to talk about it.
An understandably busy day on basketball Twitter so I hope this doesn't get lost in the noise - a great story that deserves exposure!
Australian Class of 2023 forward Alex Toohey is receiving high major interest from programs including Duke, Michigan, Illinois, Florida, Villanova, Gonzaga and others, according to
@247Sports
.
Toohey was the NBA GA's top scorer at the NBA Academy games earlier this month.
It's pretty clear that Jack White with a 3 ball is an NBA player.
Going 2-2 from outside the arc as part of his second straight quality performance has to really help his case for a 2-way right now.
Jack White once again showed his talent on both sides for the
@nuggets
as they claimed the five-point win

Something else that's really exciting about Dyson Daniels going to the Pelicans is that they have one of the best 'shot doctor' coaches in the NBA - Fred Vinson.
Was credited as helping Lonzo Ball refine his jumper, among others.
Should be able to help DD speed up that release.
If you want to have medal aspirations, you have to beat some of the best at some point.
Argentina are very solid but not elite. Spain and USA are formidable but feel as beatable as ever.
We haven't been perfect ourselves, but we're 6-0 inc. the warm-ups. Let's get this done 💪
Outstanding achievement for South Sudan.
All Aussie fans should be immensely proud of our South Sudanese-Australian's contributions to this fantastic feat.

Rocco Zikarsky with a strong first impression in a Bullets uniform.
CBU didn't have an answer for him all night.
23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks. Only 1 turnover too. All in 20 mins.
Great decisiveness, encouraging footwork and touch around the rim.
Luke Fennell with arguably the play of the U18 Nationals so far with the cross and poster dunk.
Great display of his shake on the ball and a legitimate finish over/above contact.
Really strong tournament from the 6'6 lead guard.
If you're watching Summer League tomorrow trying to follow the Aus/NZ guys, here's the times -
5.30am Bucks (Landale) - (also AJ Davis, Deshon Taylor and Matisse Thybulle (kinda Aussie)
7am - TWolves (Creek)
9am - Mavs (Delaney), Nets (Reath)
1.30pm - Suns (Cooks, Salt)

Excited to be attending the NBL Blitz in Queensland, starting tomorrow. Will be there all week.
Looking forward to getting a first look at all the NBL teams, particularly the large amount of emerging young talent out on display.
If you're also attending, I'd love to connect!
Aussie big men in the CBA across their first 6 games -
Jo Lual Acuil - 20.2ppg, 12.2rpg, 2bpg, 53% FG, 0% 3PT
Duop Reath - 19.5ppg, 9.3rpg, 2.7bpg, 43% FG, 27% 3PT
Thon Maker - 16.7ppg, 11rpg, 1.8bpg, 37% FG, 31% 3PT
Chima Moneke (
@Chimdogg_
) with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 block in 21 minutes, in a win against Euroleague team Baskonia.
Generated heaps of opportunities with his activity on both ends. Almost single handedly tipped the rebound count in Manresa's favour.
Big thanks to everyone that supported my work this year.
Very thankful for some great opportunities I received. It's a pleasure to be part of the amazing Aus bball community we have.
I have some extremely exciting things in the works I can't wait to share early next year!
That was a really solid game from Duop Reath.
11 points and 7 rebounds in only 16 minutes.
That was without him knocking down any three's as well, which we know is his go-to offensive skill.
The following South Sudanese-Australians have been announced as part of South Sudan's next
#FIBAWC
qualifying window -
- Jackson Makoi
- Emmanuel Malou
- Kuany Kuany
- Mayan Kiir
- Deng Acouth
- Mathiang Muo
- Teny Puot
Hats off to Matisse Thybulle for still committing to the Boomers campaign.
He's not Simmons, but he is one of the world's most disruptive wing defenders & will be a big addition.
This group has always been medal worthy w/o Ben. He, Exum, Giddey etc. could get us over the line.
Taran Armstrong has two points but he is controlling this game. Incredible reads every time down the floor.
Looks incredibly jacked now, too.
Buying stock.
#NBLBlitz
A late arrival meant Kiwi freshman Tafara Gapare is slowly being worked into UMass' rotation, but in his first real mins today he had great flashes.
Rare shot-making at 6'9 & an elite athlete for the A10.
Here's his makes, including what would end up being the game winning 3.
Josh Green is having another fantastic game against the Bulls right now. 16 points and counting, great defence as well. Seems to have really turned a corner.
"Next year, the Global Academy will officially join the NBL's second-tier league, NBL1, which should provide strong competition and a good platform."
This will be a big step up in comp for our junior talent and should make a difference for their development, and their exposure.
It's been 5 years since the NBA Academy system was created.
Is the program working? What issues are they working through? What does the future hold for the NBA's own international talent pipeline?
I attended the NBA Academy games in Mexico to find out:
Josh Giddey putting together solid minutes against Nigeria today is just another feather in his cap at this point.
Very easily could've/maybe should've made the final 12, but he's been seen by countless NBA execs across trainings during this time. Stock has definitely gained.
Taran Armstrong with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in his first game as a sophomore.
Eyes will be on whether he can make a further jump from his outstanding freshman campaign to keep his NBA draft interest rolling.
Great first step in that direction. Shot looks good.
Dante is a threat to get injured every time on the court. I think there's something inherent in his play-style/movement that makes him an injury risk - obviously goes balls to the wall.
Reminds me of watching young D-Rose. Scary.
South Australia's Kuai Deng put up 18 points against Columbia, who feature Cam Boozer (
#1
on the 2025 ESPN 60) and Cayden Boozer (
#15
) after joining The Academy of Central Florida last month.
A high major talent with potential through the roof.
With Dante a little out control, Delly struggling to make an impact on the offensive end, and the offense in general looking a bit out of sorts, this is the game I've felt like we could have done with Josh Giddey the most.
(A healthy Aron Baynes would be handy too).
With Dante Exum's contract set to expire Feb 28th,his recent form has been excellent for Barcelona recently.
In 17 minutes of play, Exum had 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a block against Panathinaikos earlier this month.
WA freshman Alex Condon impressed in his first game with the Florida Gators.
The big man had 13 points in 17 mins, flashing his 3pt range and motor.
This year is stacked with Aussie NBA prospects across NBL/NCAA - make sure you don't leave Condon out of the discussion!
Jack Salt announced his retirement from basketball this morning.
Was a fan favourite playing for Virginia, where he had an exceptional college career.
Unfortunately his pro career was mired by health issues, but it was great to see him in the NBL last season for the Bullets.
A few clips from Johnny Furphy (2024) at the 2023 NBA Academy Games.
Showed off his length and athleticism at both ends, finishing above the rim, knocking down threes, and attacking off closeouts.
Per
@DraftExpress
, over 20+ HM offers as a result of his performance.
Tyrese Proctor announced his commitment to Duke today.
He'll be featuring in the Nike Hoop Summit game tomorrow.
Get ready for him to dominate the next 12 months of Australian prospect discourse, ala Josh Giddey and Dyson Daniels in the years prior.
Roman Siulepa (2006) is up to averages of 17 points and 9 rebounds per game in NBL1 North across his first 5 games.
26 and 15 in his last game vs. Brisbane Capitals.
This game - 9/12 FT, 1/2 3PT
Prior 4 games - 9/30 FT, 0-5 3PT.
Shooting development is the key for him.
Was alerted to this 6'11 (maybe 7'0!) 15 year old playing for North Harbour in New Zealand today - Julius Halaifonua.
Some very impressive flashes in these few clips alone. Hits a 3 off a pindown, some impressive coordination and vertical pop, and a solid frame.
Spurs center Jakob Poeltl has entered health and safety protocols and is expected to miss several games, sources tell
@TheAthletic
@Stadium
. Poeltl is averaging 13.9 points and 9.7 rebounds for San Antonio so far this season.
Bulk David Okwera minutes has done wonders for his confidence.
The stat-line may not be gawky but he's growing into his upside with every game.
I don't think it's an exaggeration to say he has NBA upside long term.
A couple of spot up triples from Johnny Furphy on debut.
Opportunity the big question mark when committing to the projected
#1
team in college basketball. 17 minutes on debut a good start.
I had a watch of Dash Daniels across his Under 16's games a few weeks back.
Hot take, and early days, but if he grows similar in stature to Dyson he is going to be a better prospect than his brother, I feel, and comfortably.
Super high on him for his age.
Dash Daniels ('07 and younger brother of Dyson) is a very interesting prospect. He's shifty and explosive off the dribble. Great touch on his floaters and shoots the ball well from deep
I don't believe there's much to be gained in evaluation in these one on zero settings, but the one thing that stands out is just how comfortable and compact his spot up release is these days.
Made some great strides as a shooter over the past few years.
Dyson Daniels had (in my view) the most impressive showing of any prospect on the Pro Day circuit at the NBA Combine, shooting the lights out and looking like he still has immense potential he's yet to tap into. Starting to generate some top-five pick buzz.
Dante Exum ➡️ Barcelona.
He's on route over the next few days. Would imagine an official announcement wouldn't be far off.
This is a great spot on a team that has a need at the guard spot with Nick Calathes out for 6 weeks. An elite organisation with a highly reputable coach.
ÚLTIMA HORA: El ex NBA Dante Exum, cerca de firmar un contrato de tres meses con el Barça. Se incorporaría la próxima semana.
Ex NBA Dante Exum, close to sign a three-month deal with Barça. Expected to be on Spain next week.
Dyson Daniels sits at
#10
on ESPN's board right now.
The Ringer have him at
#11
.
It's a similar range to where Giddey was mocked this time last draft cycle, and it wouldn't surprise me if a late surge pushes him into the mid to late top 10 in the same way it did for Josh.
I think Jo Lual-Acuil might be the MVP if the season ended today. Or at least in the top 3, as far as the discussion goes.
Pretty crazy thing to say for a guy that came off the bench last year (as dominant as he was in that role).
#NBL22
After following for all these years and riding all the bumps in the road as a fan, it's so great to see Exum finally putting together games like this in the NBA.
Always capable of it, finally healthy, and all the better for his experience in Europe.
Chima Moneke had a monstrous 24 points in 24 minutes, along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, in a pivotal win for Manresa against Unicaja Malaga.
Manresa now through to the Champions League Final Four.
That was an absolutely monster effort from Matthew Dellavedova tonight.
If he can build off some of the momentum shooting the lights out today for the rest of the season, that's massive for him and United's prospects this year.
I thought
@BenMallis
describing the potential cutting of Matthew Dellavedova as 'like shooting Bambi' on
@PickandRollAU
's Podium Pod this week to be extremely apt.
Past being in our top 12 on the court, but Delly remains and forever will be a Boomers great.
The Boomers have narrowed their squad down from 15 to 13 ahead of their games in Melbourne as they take on Venezuela, Brazil and South Sudan on August 14, 16 and 17.
12 players from the squad will then be chosen to represent Australia at the World Cup.
Full details 👇
Full of admiration for Isaac Humphries. Incredible courage and honesty.
So fantastic to see so many people in the NBL community getting around him! This will impact many.
INSANE finish to Game 3.
Credit to Scott Roth going with Majok Deng at the 5 down the stretch there.
Jack McVeigh had an incredible shot to win things, but Deng stepped up massively across that fourth quarter.
#NBL24
This is one of the most prolific performances from a college athlete I've seen at the NBL1 level.
Got the W against Ipswich, who had a lineup featuring Nathan Sobey, both Galloway's, Matt Hodgson and Deng Deng.
The Mocs have themselves a bucket getter..
