Google is currently facing legal action in the USA because of its monopoly position in the search market. One of the issues is #Chrome, with which Google also dominates the browser market. So I thought I should try out and present some alternatives in the coming months ...

Yann LeCun says we're fooled by LLMs because they manipulate language well, and we associate that with intelligence But language fluency doesn't mean underlying intelligence Every generation since the 1950s claimed its technique was the ticket to human-level AI All were wrong.

Netflix hat wirklich keinerlei Vertrauen mehr in die eigenen Produktionen und noch weniger in die eigenen Zuschauer. Dabei waren sie einst der Retter von Produktionen, die bei den großen Sendern durchgefallen sind.

I waited a whole 13 years for #Routine by @LunarSoftware. Now I've finally played it – and I'm very impressed by the atmosphere, the graphics and the sound. It's like playing a sci-fi film from the 80s.

Just watched #WakeUpDeadMan. Steve Yedlin created some truly wonderful scenes; images that have texture, depth, and a very analog, haptic character.

So ... He didn't just come out of nowhere. Keighley grew into the games industry over many years. Many studios see Keighley and his Games Awards as an ally and friend of their work and the games industry as a whole. And rightly so, too. https://t.co/K2eapcsIZu

@DaveOshry Yeah we knew Geoff from the very beginning. I remember picking him up at the airport for do a Duke 3D review and he was like 16. We didn't know. But it's a friendship that lasted and we stayed in touch throughout the years. Great dude. Happy for all his success. Truly loves

He therefore wrote about the industry for Fortune and other publications. Thanks to his charming nature, he was then hired as the host for early gaming programmes such as Spike. Behind the scenes, he spoke to and advised developers on games, their presentation and marketing.

In 1996, he launched a online gaming magazine. Parallel for Gamestop, he wrote the first truly in-depth behind-the-scenes articles about the development of games such as Unreal, Daikatana and MGS2. This earned him a reputation as an industry expert. https://t.co/mGK08cjvQt

@vocalnoid Geoff was actively reviewing games starting the 1990’s. He visited the offices to talk about Unreal development in 1997 and maybe earlier. The Game Awards are the culmination of 30 years of hard work.

Geoff told me he played his first game sometime in the 80s on an IBC PC; some kind of educational game. When he was 15/16, he started writing about games; he visited studios. He part of Cybermania '94, the first TV big games award show. https://t.co/RT7XotKV89

You can criticise Geoff Keighley for a lot of things, but there's no denying that he loves and lives for games/games industry. I've had a conversation or two or three with him myself, and he knows what he's talking about and is more deeply connected in the gaming world than most.
