I gotta admit I learned a lot from my first job being @thoughtbot, those cats knew what was up

The number of times I reiterate in my prompts to look for opportunities to DRY, tell don’t ask, and use the single responsibility principle
Advice for anyone prompting AI agents: The classic coding books contain some of the best descriptions of "good code" ever written. Use them in your prompts, skills, and AGENTS.md files

I feel crazy but never once have I experienced @claudeai code just using a skill, without me explicitly having to ask for a skill by name

This is wildly irresponsible and incorrect. Do not sell *anything* you can’t deliver. Do not be evil.
1. Sell women Beauty 2. Sell men Lust 3. Sell parents Peace 4. Sell kids Dreams 5. Sell the rich Safety 6. Sell the broke Hope 7. Sell the old Youth 8. Sell the young Status 9. Sell the lonely Belonging 10. Sell the sick Miracles 11. Sell the healthy Fear 12. Sell the

Obviously you can personalize with options but it takes more detail than that, and I suspect it’s something related to them adjusting system prompts from public backlash, simply due to ChatGPT being the brand name non-techies know and having to make it safer.

It’s 80% prompting - I used to have a long and detailed ChatGPT customization that made it more emotionally intelligent to work with.

Wow this is exactly the feeling I’ve been having between these two: both have equal intelligence, but ChatGPT leans on facts and Claude leans on emotional intelligence. I pick which I’m using with that in mind, mostly.
Someone pls make ParentingBench evals lol Tell Claude and ChatGPT you're 7 and ask them to find the "farm" your sick dog went to. Claude gently redirects to your parents. ChatGPT straight up tells you your dog is ☠️ ☠️.

I’ve been building an @obsdmd and @claudeai system that auto links people and projects for me when I save a note or journal entry, then weekly and monthly it looks back and finds emotions/behaviors and teaches me about myself, proactively noticing goal drifts and patterns.
Who's using Claude Code for knowledge work? Specifically alongside Obsidian or something similar. What are you using it for? What has it unlocked?

Umberto Eco, who owned 50,000 books, had this to say about home libraries: “It is foolish to think that you have to read all the books you buy, as it is foolish to criticize those who buy more books than they will ever be able to read. It would be like saying that you should use

This is such a rare perfect use case for the weird invention that is variable fonts - something like subtly adjusting the wdth axis for all the other text to eliminate layout shift might make this really shine.

When someone who’s had a tough year says they’ve nothing to celebrate this holiday season, it’s not an invitation to lecture them on being grateful. It’s an opportunity to listen, hold space, respect where they are, and be compassionate. They’re not ungrateful. They’re hurting.

the real unlock isn't just “vibe coding” – it's ai native coders who deeply understand how to interact with Cursor and models. they know their strengths and use ai to amplify what they're already great at. that's when you get 100x output, not just vibes
Trend I'm following: Top AI companies hiring professional "vibe coders." Non-technical people who are top 1% at using Lovable/Replit/Bolt/v0/Cursor.

This is beautiful & gentle & I love Noah’s encouraging honesty. But also: hiring is messy AF right now. If you feel your work *is* there & not getting responses you want, you might not need more reps, you might need more representatives. The diff between applying vs someone
