Additionally, we employ a spatial general-equilibrium model to project the economic effects of future regional transport investments, paired with electricity and internet, on development in the Horn of Africa and Lake Chad region. 4/5

2. Access to fast internet further amplifies this effect, driving even larger labor reallocations away from agriculture. 3/5

Key findings include: 1. Investments in multiple sectors, such as combining paved roads and electricity, lead to a more significant shift of employment from agriculture to manufacturing and services compared to single-sector investments. 2/5
