Yesterday, I blundered a completely vanilla pawn endgame from a Caro-Kann exchange. Seeing Ding do something similar is painful. Congrats to Gukesh, but Ding should hold his head high. He's back in MUCH better form! #chess.

Students getting ill during finals is a tale as old as time. I had a student a few years back who calmly puked in the trash can in CULC 144 and walked out of the room without informing a soul. I thought he was going to the bathroom, but he disappeared and never came back… 🤷♂️.

The WCC marches on with another really interesting game today. 22 Rxe1 Qxa2!? 23 Ra1 and best for black was returning the pawn and evacuating the queen with 23…c3! Instead, Ding stubbornly kept his queen in white’s camp. The gamble paid off!.

If I’m being honest, @KirkCousins8 strikes me as the kind of guy I could be friends with. He’s terrible at his job. But he seems nice. THE JOB WAS RUN 5 YARDS FOR A TOUCHDOWN AND YOU THREW AN INT! 😭
