Ding Liren: - "I think I'll have to wait until Carlsen gets old. I wouldn't be able to beat him now. He's superior to everyone. I think no one can beat him. If he gets out of shape with age, maybe I'll have a chance". 🤣
@HansMokeNiemann
Please turn off social media and concentrate on your remaining games. Good result in the tournament will be your best move in current situation.
In second round Russian Super GM Fedoseev 2698, who currently represent Slovenia played against Indian FM Senthil. Fedoseev lost his first round and in this position having 1 hour 34 min on his clock left the tournament hall and never came back. His opponent had to wait 94 min to…
Ding Liren absolutely belongs to Candidates tournament and maybe the system is unfair to him, however this is just unacceptable format. He scores 10,5 out of 12 , moves to the second place in live rating while ALL OTHER GAMES NOT INCLUDING DING ENDED PEACEFULLY.
@MarioNawfal
The fuel will go first of all for tunnels ventilation not hospitals. Remember how they used pipes devoted for improving water system in Gaza?
How long this can be tolerated? Round 3 and 4 opponents didn’t appear to the game. Why
@FIDE_chess
cannot make a specific rules to this case, either not allowing this kind of pairings (like in Olympiads),or sanction Iranian Federation ( I know it’s not players fault).
Simply fantastic win by Levon. My feeling is that we might see Levon Aronian come back , the one who used to be number 2 in the World and considered to be the main rival of Magnus.
Everyone is familiar with the names of Aronian and Akopian , but in my opinion Gabriel is phenomenal player, who has been a cornerstone of the Armenian Olympic team since 2000! I personally remember 2008 Dresden Olympiad , when Armenian team got gold medal and I lost to Gabriel.
Armenia, a country of just 3 million people, won the

in 2006, 2008 & 2012. Now, despite Aronian moving to the USA, they're the sole leaders with 3 rounds to go after Gabriel Sargissian followed his win over Caruana by beating Harikrishna!
Big drama in the final game of Azerbaijan Championship. White failed to find the winning idea in this position. Can you do better?
Congratulations to Mahammad Muradli with his title!
The answer for my previous puzzle is incredible 1.Bh7!!. Black has no defense against coming 2. Ra1 while his king will stay in the center. Natural 1. Be4 is not enough, as after 1...0-0 2. Bxc6 Bxc6 3. Qxc6 e4! 4. Qxe4 Qb2 and Black has a lot of counterplay. I was pretty sure…
I assume many watched the video from amazing Carlsen vs Rapport game, which was played at recently finished World Blitz Championship. Do you know that Magnus could have decided the game much earlier. Can you find the winning idea here, White to move.
Incredible mistake from the player of this caliber . This position from today's Bundesliga game Warmerdarm vs Rapport . Black last move is h5. Do you see how to punish it?
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce the best rook endgame player in the World! 2/2 from these two endgames in World Cup against very strong players!
Following up on my previous post. The right solution is amazing move 1.g4!! with tactical follow up after every Black move : 1...Bg4 2.Qc6!! bxc6 3.Ba6 ; 1...Qxg4 2.Nb5!! Bxb5 3.Bh3 ; 1...Qg6 2.Bg2 Bc6 3.Nb5!!
Pragg is on 4/4 and he is playing amazing chess! He only crossed 2700, but with this play I expect him to hit 2750 this year! Enjoy today's positional masterpiece!
I am very curious how many chess players have used this web page and how close the result (rating) to the real one?
"We kindly invite you to the Elometer if you are interested in a quick measurement of your chess skills!"
It's karma what is happening with USA team in Olympiad. Chess Kaissa not happy with this minimal approach of winning matches with 2,5-1,5 score and totally neglecting board points. The players forget how to fight! Right now Argentina has 4 board points more than USA!
Overall Jan had a rough time in this game. Black played extremely well throughout the game. However, after 1...Rd6? White missed a golden opportunity to strike. Can you spot what Jan missed?
With all the eyes directed towards Masters Tournament in Wijk, I would recommend not to forget about Challengers group. Here is the gem from the first round
Congratulations to
@MagnusCarlsen
for winning 5th World Championship title! Great team and fantastic atmosphere definitely a huge parts of the success!
@aaronsibarium
Very predictable, therefore I was wondering why Jewish students are fighting for getting back to studies where they will be surrounded by Marxists professors and Hamas supporters. Sue them (already happening) and take your money elsewhere!
What about this positional Queen sacrifice? Is it not the most amazing one? Positional sacrifice for one pawn, after 1...gxh5 2.Rg7 Ke8 3.Rh7 White won the game.
